especially for Julie and Janny
i've just been doing some thinking about coping with the munchies
we all know that you should be really munching on fruit and veg but sometimes carb cravings and sweet things are nearly always what we really want
some things i've picked up in class and find helpful are
firstly to have a plan, if you know that certain times and things trigger you off then having items to hand can be a lifesaver
here are some of the things i use for that time of the month
Fox's officially low fat ameretti biscotti (they also come in cranberry and honey)which are a biscuit finger sort if thing (like a long straw shaped biscuit that you'd get in a posh coffee shop)they work out at 1.5 syns for 2 but if you had a really bad day and polished off the full box[msnembarrased] like we sometimes do, you'd still only be looking at 11.5 syns, not bad for a full box of biccies[msnwink]
frozen grapes are a good idea if you have sweetie cravings, keeping a small bunch in the freezer can be a godsend, you have no choice but to suck them so they last longer
morrisons do a multi pack of low fat snack crisps you get 2 packs of each which are onion rings 1.5syns, bacon waffles 2 syns and salt and vinegar fries 4 syns
cadburys multipack of mini chocolate or honeycomb bites at 4 syns per packet, they are little 50p coin sized biscuits that look like little donuts with cadburys chocolate on the bottom and you get 7 in a packet, they are well worth the 4 syns[msntongue] and i usually have a pack of these at the end of the day as a treat or reward for being good[angel], i've also been known to have 3 packs leading up to my period (all counted of course)[msnembarrased][msnembarrased][msnembarrased]
and finally from my consultants mouth, if you must have something bread or cereal based at that time of the month and your out of syns then choose from the healthy B (bread and cereal)section and have an extra one or two of these, why? because when you reach target you up the b's to maintain your weight so if you need more then a b choice is much better than falling back into old habits and eating food that is high in syns and has little or no nutritional value, at least this way your still eating a healthier choice and your more likey to maintain the weight loss than to gain [msnsmile] obviously you shouldn't do this every day but just when you really really really need to, i have occasionally used another B choice and still managed to maintain or lose a small amount
hope this is helpful
glad your back on track Julieanne [msnwink]
mizzy
Mizzy, thank you so much for taking the time to write all this info down and post it for us[clap][clap] You are a gem!![clap][clap][clap]
I am OK today, and I am going for a good loss next Tuesday, 2-3lbs is my goal[sporty]
I am also thinking very carefully about my food to make sure I don't have anything that's not on the plan[msnwink]
Physically I feel really yukky but mentally I am prepared and going for it[clap]
Julieanne, glad you took the plunge, now you can get back on track and those extra pounds will start melting away[msnwink]
Sharon happy shopping[msnwink]
Sally keep checking the posts they really help to keep us all on track, even if there are so many[msnscared]
Janny I know how you feel but we can do this[clap][sporty]
Planning on mushroom omelette for lunch with a muller lite yog for pud[msnsmile]
Thanks Mizzy will try it out next month or maybe next week as I am at that stage when I never l never know when !
Somehing that occured to me earlier when I was trying to work out what made made me go mad last night, apart from t.t.o.t.m....... its whenever I have a light lunch I get the munchies later in the evening, seems to be a bit of a pattern so I will be making sure I eat plenty of 'free' foods at lunch like I have today, just had mushroom omelette with 1/2 a tin of beans and a muller lite cheesecake (1 syn)[msnwink]
yes i did notice that you had hardly any veg yesterday Julie and those wrap sandwhiches really having no filling power so i'm not surprised you got hungry
Janny, get yourself a little box with your lifesaver goodies in and then it's there whenever the monthly munchies come around[msnwink]
Julie we're on page 151 now do you think we should start ov slimming part 3?
Liz where are you?, hope your ok[grouphug]
Mizzy
Hi folks, and thanks mizzy for those suggestions - I do like the sound of frozen grapes, will be trying that - and as you say they last longer in the mouth if they are frozen - mind you same applies to chocolate doesn't it?[}:)] (Wash my mouth out with soap[:P]!)
Tried quorn for lunch today, made a coronation chicken with v low fat mayo, tsp of mango chutney, curry powder and some sultanas. Should have put low fat yoghurt in as I found the mayo taste a bit rich.
No Mizzy I have not got any new shiny stickers as they are taking my losses from when I came back after all the cancer treatment last year, but I like to add them both together to incentivise myself!
One of my closest friends is getting married on Saturday (our children - we have 2 both the same age - have grown up together) at the Guild Hall in Windsor, and the wedding reception goes on from 3.30 until 11pm! So I think I need to be v careful for the rest of the week as my options are going to be limited!

It's my weigh in this morning................I have to admit I've been quite awful this week.
My computer died on me two days ago, just got it working!
Fiona congrats on your weight loss, that's great. Will have to read back now, and Mizzy's post on munchies is going to be worth noting.
I just got invited around a family on Friday night for pizza! I think I will eat before I go, its a farewell night, as her
Mum is returning back to Manchester, after a three month holiday here, so the wine will be flowing. Its going to be another toughie, as we all tend to get very melancholy and homesick, when somebody is returning home. You feel the distance when you have someone from home out!
Morning all .Bit of a dull day here at the moment but we have someone coming to look at fabric so we might get rid of some at last [msnsmile2]
Food diary for yesterday
2 weetabix with blueberries & yogurt
sw tuna in mayo sandwich for lunch with salad.
spag bol for supper
2 muller lights
banana
lots of water
40 mins on the treadmill
and a walk into town.
Paula goodluck with the weigh in .
Good luck with the weigh in Paula[msnsmile]

Morning ALL,
Just a quick look in this morning and to wish everyone well who are going for weigh in!!!
Mizzy...will be thinking about you this afternoon, hope its over quick for you!![msnwink] Have you asked them if they can play some of your favourite music whilst you're in there instead of their music!!? I did when I went for mine and it was alot nicer and a little more relaxing!
Well I was really good again yesterday and although out today will be very good again!![angel]...clothes are getting looser[msnwink]
Have a good one everyone
Mizzy hope all goes well, I have never had one but can imagine it is pretty horrible being closed in.
Don't think I will have any great results this week according to my home scales[msnscared]. Just hope that I haven't put on even though I have followed the plan and every sin I have had has been within my allowance.
Jill is not being weighed today as she is away on her boat. I have just got back from taking her dog Tansy and my dog Bosun out for a walk[sporty][sporty]
Sharon good news on the loose clothes[msnsmile2]

Mizzy - hope all goes well for you this afternoon [grouphug]
Well done Sharon [clap] hope I'm saying the same soon.
Was doing some clearing out last night and found some very old diaries -and 19 years ago today I weighed 7 and a half stone [msnoo] [msneek]
<blockquote id="quote" class="ffs">quote:Was doing some clearing out last night and found some very old diaries -and 19 years ago today I weighed 7 and a half stone [/quote]
Oh Julie don't start that - 30 years ago I weighed 9 stone and if I went to 9½ I thought I was humungous as I went from a large 10 to a 12! As the smallest I have got in the last 20 years is a size 14 I would be thrilled to get back there. Still one must be positive, down from a 20/22 to a 16/18 so I suppose it is in the right direction. Mental note to self, get up each morning and do sit ups, might do something about the charming bulge on the abdomen which is definately the WORST thing about my body at the moment - apart from the obvious - lopsided lil as DH calls me[msnwink].
Banana for brekkies, was just off out with the hounds having had a leisurely bath and washed my hair when I double checked what time I was having my legs waxes - throught it was 2.00pm - good thing I looked at the calendar - it's 10.00am so am just off and dogs will have to cross their legs till I get back!
Have a good day all and good luck to those being weighed.
Sharon i can have music but i still dont relax it's my head that they are scanning and they clamp it in first so i cannot move it at all[msnscared] thats what makes me panic it's like a giant white coffin and it's about 6 " above my face[msnsad] and Sally you definately don't want one[msneek]
i'm glad your clothes are staring to feel loose Sharon, did you get something nice for the races?
Sally it'll be ok, home scales can be very inacurate[grouphug]if your following the plan then apart from that TOTM then you really shoudn't gain, stay to class if you do because it really will help lots

well my first week back from Florida and got straight on my diet.
I have been excellent-lots of fruit, not so much veg, hardly any bread and no sweets, cakes or chocolates.
Bit gutting that I cannot get weighed though.

thanks for the lovely welcome back ladies.
My legs and feet are still a bit swollen-I have seen it take as much as a month to get it back to normal-so well pleased with the result in a week.
I am loosely following SW plan. I only do red days-plenty of protein, fruit and veg-bit of potato if needed.
It's how I lost it before-so hopefully it will still work.
I drink lots of water with vitamin sachet inside, fruit or herb teas.
I'm determined to really stick to it and pleased with my progress so far.
When I'm at hospital tomorrow where I work-will scout around to see if they have any chair scales.

Well ladies. After a fairly good week foodwise(apart from some chocs on Sun[msnembarrased]) I got weighed this morning and...2lbs off! So, I'm certainly heading in the right direction.
Unfortunately, the rest of the week hasn't been too good. My best friend's dad died on Monday(he had been ill for a couple of years but it was still unexpected)Then, my son managed to write off one of our cars on Tuesday and was in hospital for most of the night. Luckily, the side air bags saved him from serious injury(or even worse, according to the police). He's ended up with some lacerations on his arms and forehead and had to have glass removed from his eye, not to mention various other more minor injuries. At least he'll be fine in due course and that's all that matters.
Mizzy-the scan sounds awful, glad it's over for you.
Carole
Glad you got through the scan Mizzy. Thanks for the password.
Sorry to here of the bad week you have had Carole, so glad that your son will be fine, it must have been very scary for you. Well done on the weight loss.[clap][clap]
Karen
Hi Mizzy - I've lost about 5 lbs since I started, as I stayed the same a lot, lost, gained, lost etc etc. Definately a dress size, I am now a 14 after being a 16 since I had my third child in 2001. People have commented I have lost, so even though its not a major loss in pounds, it seems to have come off in the right place. However my stomach still tends to protrude, which is so annoying, and I can't do sit ups, as I have problems with my neck, and don't want to strain it.
On another note, I have to say that my biggest achievement to me, is being able to stick with SW for the last few weeks, when I have been under tremendous strain. Hubby & I have separated after 15 years, its been very hard the last month, dealing with it, but I haven't resorted to eating my way through the cupboard to deal with it, you guys have kept me more motivated than you could ever know. Thank you!
I forgot to add that Mizzy I am glad you got through yesterday ok, and you are very brave, it must be a hell of an ordeal *hugs to you*
Carole sorry to hear about your bad week, at least your son is safe and well done on the weight loss.
Theresa you are having an awful time, 15 years is a long time, and of course it will be a big wrench when your mum goes back.
We are all here for you, and big [clap] for not succumbing to the biscuit barrel under the circumstances.[grouphug]
Morning ladies, I was so tired last night so didn't post[msnsad]
Carol sorry to here about your ES hope he is better soon[grouphug] Well done on your 2lbs off thats brilliant[clap][clap][clap]
Theresa I am so sorry you have had a rough time, I can honestly say I know how you feel as I am married to my second hubby, please email me if you would like to chat[grouphug] You are doing so very well sticking to it at the moment[clap][clap]
Sally how was weigh in?
My red diary from yesterday.......
porridge HC b with skimmed
skinny lattes x 2 = 2 x HC a's
muller lite cheesecake 1 syn
chicken salad with tikka spices and yog mint dressing 1 syn
grapes
seared tuna steak with garlic and chilli tomato sauce
lemon cheesecake muller lite 0.5 syns
HiFi bar HC b
lots of water[angel]
total syns 2.5 plus extra milk approx 5 syns = 7.5 syns
Thanks Fiona & Julie. Actually my Mum isn't here, my friend's mother is here, so I have been dealing with it on my own, this is when you hate living on the other side of the world! I am ok now though, the icky stuff is behind me now, we seem to have reached a 'good place' now. Its been hard not to eat the biggest bar of chocolate, but I knew that would make me feel worse in the end. Thanks again
Food Diary Friday
Porridge
Poached Eggs & Beans on toast
Pasta, Tuna & Sauce
Snacks: 3 diet biscuits, caramel skinny latte at coffee shop. No pizza at friends though, but plan on having three vodkas with diet lemonade, that I have saved syns for! Also haven't had the car for three days, so have walked everywhere!
1/2lb on[msncry]
Well done Carol[clap]. Glad to hear your son is OK, what a worry.
Theresa [clap] for keeping to the plan when you are going through a rough time[grouphug]
Red day yesterday
weeabix minis (a b)
scrambled egg with bacon
wholemeal roll with choppen egg and spoonful of extra light mayo, cherries and cadbury highlights nibbles.
Kebabs with pile of stir fry veggies and beansprouts. Natural yoghurt with strawberries.

Well done Carol, sorry you have had such a horrible week [grouphug]
Theresa you are doing so well during what must be a really difficult time for you [grouphug]
I can imagine how you must feel being so far from home, my friend is home for a visit from Australia at the moment and she is really emotional at seeing all her family and friends 14 year after her last trip home. Can't imagine how she will be when it is time to leave [msncry]
[grouphug] for Mizzy too after yesterday.
Have a good Friday everyone [msnsmile]
good morning everyone
well like Julie i didn't get logged last night either, i had a date with my gorgeous hubbie and a nice piece of steak[msnwink]oh and best tv night of the week (house and greys anatomy)
Carole well done on your weight loss, 2 lbs is great[clap][clap][clap] and i'm so sorry about your son it must have been very traumatic for you all[grouphug]
Theresa you are doing great not only with the weight loss but with keeping it all together which must be really hard for you at this stressful time[grouphug] anytime you want to chat we're here and you can always dm me[msnsmile]
and like you Theresa i get a lot of support from being on here [msnsmile2]
Sally if you stayed to class i'm sure the half lb isn't a worry anymore, like you said it's that TOTM at least now when it happens next month you'll expect it so you'll know not to worry, the weight loss is there, it's just hiding[msnwink] so here's to a big loss next week[clap]
so it looks like for the most of us it's been a difficult week[grouphug] but we have to move forward ladies in a positive frame of mind, let's all of us have a great weekend (foodwise) and here's to some great weigh loss results next week[clap][clap][clap]
Mizzy
here's my little bean story to make you smile
in a faraway land (well the library's meeting room) a long, long time ago in her very early adulthood a sweet princess (moi) joined WW thinking she was fat!!!!!!, you know size 12 & 10 stone and she was convinced that she was huge [msneek]
now one day the class leader gave the princess and all the other members a magic bean[msnoo]
it was a dried kidney bean and the princess and the other class members had all been ordered to carry it around with them forever[msneek]
the class leader said it will help them to lose weight and that it was to remind them all to question what we the're doing and what they wish for
so off the princess went with the little bean in her purse, leaving the class looking at the leader as if she's not all there[msneek]
now lo and behold during the week whenever the princess opened her purse this little bean appeared with many questions ????
the bean seemed to be saying "how have you bean"? and "are you bean good"? [msneek]
now one fair day the princess came to be in tescos and about to pay for the royal shopping including a nice bar of chocolate from the checkout that was all hers for the taking, the princess opened her royal purse to pay and all of a sudden like magic this little bean says to the princess "are you bean good?"[msnoo] and lo and behold the magic happened and the princess realised that she was not bean good and placed the chocolate back onto the shelf
and so the week progressed and all too soon came the time for the royal weigh in[msnscared]
the princess stepped onto the royal scales and there appeared by magic a lower number[msnsmile2]and this continued to happen each and every week until the princess reached her target and became the happiest and most confident princess in all the land[msnsmile2][msnsmile2][msnsmile2]
the end[msnwink]
Theresa, Well done for having the will power to be good when you must have been having a really bad time.
Never mind Sally, 1/2lb is nothing to worry about. I am sure it will have disappeared by next weigh in.
I like your little story Mizzy, you always manage to stay positive and support everyone, well done[msnsmile2]
My daughter had a ballet exam this morning and it was very stressful worrying how she would do[msneek]. We wont find out the results until around December time and she also has another dance exam in 2 weeks[msneek], not sure the nerves can stand it! After the exam, the children all had McDonalds and I brought some home for the other 2 big kids (18 & 22). I am pleased to say that I didnt have any at all and stuck with my healthy eating, so I am feeling very pleased with myself.[msnsmile2]
Have a good weekend everyone and lets all have a good week next week.[msnwink]

And my friend's just rang to say she's got us pizza for our girls night in tonight [msnembarrased] [xx(]
Perhaps I'll take a salad [:O]
Oh Julieanne, that's it, it's a hanging offence[msnwink]. Calculate your syns, and just make allowances - you may not be allowed any for the rest of the week! But a salad would be a good idea to remove yourself from too much temptation.
Karen, how well I remember the dancing classes, Catriona did ballet, tap & modern, gave them all up as the dreaded GCSE's approached and now wishes she had at least kept on with the tap, as boy does that help with the weight loss.
Loved the little fairytale mizzy[msnsmile], anything that helps stay on track - so who's got a little bean then? Or in our case a little coloured stone - we all got one some time ago - and mine is still in my purse!
Theresa, sorry must have misread one of your posts as I thought it was your mum over. My sister and her husband are just about to split up after 17 years of marriage (today is their 17th anniversary Ihave just realised) but she stopped wearing her rings along time ago as they seem to have just drifted apart, but still not nice when it is happening.
My friend who is getting married tomorrow - it's her 50th, she is marrying her toy boy - he is 12 years younger, and he has made her so much happier than the first one did, and for 10 years has brought the children up with her. So you never know what is round the corner.
Foodwise been v good so far - only because I am at work as definately got the munchies today! Banana for breakfast, spiced beanburgers & salad, 1 apple, grapes for lunch (about to eat my large orange as still hungry for some reason), supper will be tomato pasta, or may be a takeaway curry. I have however planned for this and will be having a vegetable one with rice.

they also had Reese's peanut butter cups in aldi because there having an american promotion, both kiddies wanted them but i was very firm and steered them onto the yoghurt fridge

Mizzy, Love the "bean" story!!..will remember that when I next go food shopping!......I had a great day at the "Ladies Day" races yesterday. Quite glamourous but not as much as Royal Ascot!!
I bought a lovely new dress ( about 6 months ago and never had worn) which I felt was a little too tight but kept my 3 quarter length jacket on all the time!![msnembarrased]
My friend and myself were chosen to enter the final of the "best accessorized ladies"...I think the judge had a foot fetish[msnwink][msnwink]..anyway we missed it as we were in the champagne tent[msnoo][msnoo][msncool]
Theresa....so sorry to hear about the breakup of your marriage[grouphug] hope you can work things out. When my first marriage broke up after 9 years I basically just ate "junk food" until I realised my body deserved better and then I got my act together. I think under the circumstances you are doing great.
Well really really good again today (as I was EVEN yesterday...ok apart from the one glass of champagne[}:)]).
2 weetabix with banana
1 litre of water
Chicken wrap with sald for lunch
1 apple
1 pear
1 muller light
1 more litre of water
Tuna steak for dinner with lots of fresh veg topped in a tomatoe and garlic sauce.......
1 black coffee
May treat myself to a glass of white wine[}:)]
Have a good weekend everyone and be good!!...that includes you Julieanne[msnwink][msnwink]

Been really good so far -am about to go for a meal with my friend.
But I have that gnawing feeling at the pit of my stomach-which is shouting chocolate.
I really don't want to give in to it-as I want this weight off really quickly.
Had fruit and a small omelette at lunchtime
about 5pm had a ham salad
had some pieces of dried fruit-which probably aren't free food on SW -but decided that was better than chocolate and just lots of water.
Feet are almost normal-so well pleased.
Oh yes-and I booked my next trip this morning.
Sept 15 for a month!
I was so maxed out on my credit card (hadn't cleared all the debt from Florida plus had to buy a new computer on Wed after totalling my other one this week)-me and my daughter were scrabbling around trying to gather up enough cash on our credit cards to pay for the flights.
Anyway we managed it.
They were such a good bargain-too good to miss.
Hope everyone who has had a bad week this week has a better one next week.

Alison...you lucky thing !!! A month....I'm jealous. I'm hoping Paul will let me book some flights for the end of August...I'm working on him[msnwink], although ours will only be for a week as our villa only has the time gap for this[msnsad]
Hope you have a lovely meal but be good[msnwink] and keep away from the chocolate:D
god will you stop it you girls, i'm having to wait until next MARCH before i can get out to florida and then it'll have been two years since our first visit, your making me so jealous[msnwink]
Sharon, best accesorized lady wow you'll have to post us a photie, i'm only ever accesorized when i take my husband out with me[msneek] the furthest i get with accesories is a bag and sometimes that's just the mil[msnsmile2]
it was true about the bean girls i had one in my purse given to me by a leader from WW and it really did help, must have a word in my consultants ear and maybe she'll dish out some magic beans next week
and you know girls sadly the fairytale ended i did marry the handsome prince but gained a wicked mil into the bargain, then along came lots of cosy nights in with my beloved and a takeaway, two beautiful children, all day access to the fridge and i somehow gained 4 stone[msnembarrased]
so i really could do with another magic bean[msnwink]

me too:)
Flights are with virgin and are £424 each and the offer is till end of Oct I think.
I paid £529 for our month in May/June -so am well pleased with thes prices.
That's the quickest I have ever booked up after returning from Florida-8 days-lol!
Was very good tonight-only ate half of my dumpling and nearly all of my steak.
Didn't order a dessert either.
If I keep this up I will be thin in no time-lol.

Good day foodwise yesterday. It was a "mum's night out" but just had melon, followed by vegetable pizza with no cheese[msneek]
Took day off work to take son to doctors and to collect belongings from the car.I was horrified by the state of it. How he has escaped without serious injury I will never know. I wouldn't mind but the previous Saturday he had just had his first 2 hour lesson from a course of Advanced lessons I had arranged (with a police instructor)because I know exactly what 18 year olds can be like behind the wheel!!!
Back to Florida in August for us, so I WILL be back down to target soon!!!!
Have a good weekend everyone

I really need a massive kick at the moment.
My sister is joining the class with me so we will now be going on a Monday.
Morning ladies....well I have been a [angel] all week so far and was convinced a weight loss would show on my very accurate home scales by now but they are saying 1 lb on[msnmad][msnmad][msnmad][msnmad] I wish I was being bad then it would explain but I am not[msncry][msncry][msncry] and I still have the t.t.o.t.m. from hell so that's the only thing that can be causing it[msnmad][msnmad][msnmad][msncry][msncry][msncry] Mizzy I know you will tell me off too[msnwink]
Paula, having your sister will help and Monday is a good day to start a fresh[clap][sporty]
Well done Alison.
Carole my 17 y/o is just about to start her driving lessons now she has finished her AS exams[msneek]
Have a great day all[clap]
good morning
Carole, pleased to hear that your son is ok, and it sounds like you where very good lest night, i'm sure you'll be back down to target for august[msnsmile]
Paula, it'll be good going to a class with your sister you can help each other when your motivation flags and a little bit of competition will keep you going, how about buying one of the countdowns that are in class at the minute that way you'll be making a commitment for either the full 6 weeks or 12 weeks
well i was a little bit naughty last night[msneek]i had some crackers with low fat pate on[msnembarrased] feel a bit of a pig now because i wasn't even hungry, so will have to be extra good now and keep syns to a min for today and tommorow[msnsad] it's quite a challenge getting weighed on a monday Paula, being straight after the weekend you don't have any time to shift any naughties that the weekend may have tempted you with[msnwink]
Mizzy
we've been guilty of typing at the same time again Julie
now what are you like, it is ok to have a quick peep on those home scales but it does affect how we feel
before you got on i bet you felt great, i'm having a really good week and i'm expecting a loss come tuesday so you'll have been really positive and focused
now you've jumped on and not quite seen what you expected so now you'll be tempted to eat less and you'll be feeling pretty negative and this will have an impact on your food choices and your will to continue
the thing is if you find out that it's bad news at class then you have a full circle of support around you to figure it out and at home you haven't
it's still the totm and our bodies don't work in weeks so keep positive and do not punish yourself by eating less food [msnsmile] or else[msnwink]
Mizzy
I know you are right Mizzy but I am a bit of a control freak and don't like the not knowing, I feel if I know somehow I am more in control, if you know what I mean[msnscared]
They say you can loose eight without exercise on SW, and as I have not been doing much exercise lately I was hoping it would still come off, but its not. Its not as if I sit still all day as I am constantly on the go! I will keep eating as I should and just hope that come Tuesday I will see a loss, and by York even more[clap][clap][clap] I seem to have been stuck round this 11.5 stone mark for b*****y ages and I need to get nearer to 11 stone to feel I am making progress, plus I have this mega meet up on August 6th[msnoo]
Off to plan my menu for today[clap]

I lost weight on SW without exercising.
I stuck to the the red days only-I had quite a wheat intolerance at the time -so pasta and bread were out.
Just limited myself to lots of fruit, some veg, plenty of protein and a little bit of potato, rice and the occasional bit of wheat now and then and lost every week.
I don't drink alcohol, or have tea or coffee with milk-so drank fruit teas and saved my sins for 2 mini aero's each day.
I've just read through most of the posts for OV slimming club Part Two and WOW! You 've all inspired me to have yet another go at trimming down...My motivation?two young sons and a not so young husband who deserve a fitter, happier person in the house...and I'm fed up not feeling as confident as I was when I was a spring chicken - so to speak!
I've tried just about every diet and exercise plan around and have managed to lose over 5 stone but have plateued, well not really bothered for the last 12 months....so here goes....wish me luck!:)

Most of us on here now are doing Slimming World with some good results[msnwink] We will help you as much as we possibly can![clap]
i'm really glad we've inspired you Deb and i'm sure with a fantastic 5 stone loss that you will be a real inspiration to others on here so welcome aboard[msnsmile2]

Hi Deb[msnsmile2]
Welcome to our slimming club.
WOW 5 stone, thats a great loss[clap].
Having a good weekend and I have been an[angel]. So hope I have a loss this week[msnsmile2]
Just going to take Jessica to her first SNAP disco, she looks so grown up all ready to go[msncry]
Thanks everyone, At the moment I'm following my own plan which is really an amalgamation of good practice from regular diet plans.Until recently I belonged to a gym and tried out lots of different exercise plans including belly dancing which was great fun! But I've been suffering with my knees!(Is it old age creeping up on me?) and have also started a new job which means working away from home on an irregular basis - I get to stay in some very nice hotels - but it's not good for the diet! so I've decided to finally get around to learning to swim - I can't justify being the only non swimmer in my family - even my four old now goes to lessons!
I've started this great master plan quietly by attending some aqua aerobic classes which I foolishly thought would be nice and gentle....boy was I mistaken! There were some 'maturer' ladies who put me to shame!... oh and I'm hoping to lose another two and a half stone by next Easter.....in time to show off my (newly acquired)swimming skills in the villa pool - hopefully!Deb[msnsmile]
Sounds great Deb, but if you want to be a fully paid up member of our club we need to know more about you as your profile is very sparse[msnwink][msnwink][msnwink][msnwink] So come on, where do you live, approx age, how many chidren, whats the job etc etc!!!!! I know I am so nosey[msnwink][msnwink][msnwink]
Food diary for me today......
porridge HC b with skimmed
skinny latte x 2 = 2 x HCa's
hummous and salad
loaded pot skins from latest mag
muller lite cheesecake 1 syn
lots of water[angel]
Not doing to well at the moment health wise, nothing major but I am struggling to exercise which you all know is not like me at all,[msnoo][msnoo][msnoo] I have not got over my last cold and feel like its coming back, plus t.t.o.t.m from hell is just not going, and today I lost my appetite and only ate because I knew I had too. I have been back on the iron supplements again since Monday but I am just sooooooo tired and keep falling asleep on the sofa at 9pm[msneek]
OK Julie, I'm just over the forty mark, married with two boys - aged 4 and 7 and a house husband who is absolutely wild about Florida - well we all are really.I just like to make out that he's the driving force behind our jaunts! We live in Wales - the land of song - although not in our house! The boys and I will jig around the kitchen to Robbie Williams et al but I would'nt expose the neigbours to my singing!
I'm a school teacher - part time - and also travel across the UK training other teachers - hence the trouble with the diet!
I'm mad.......about crafting....and always stock up on supplies when in Florida.Do I qualify as a fully paid up member now? Deb
well Julie you have just given the game away there and some major clues as to why the weight may not be moving, if you are unwell then i'm not surprised at all that your body is hanging on to all it fat reserves to keep itself strong, not that you have much in the fat reserves dept[msnwink]
i'm always tired too but with me it's a side effect from the epilepsy meds and dh said i also have slurred speech when i'm really tired, just like a drunk[msneek] so when we meet up in york you'll have to excuse me girls if i sound a little bit tipsy[msnwink]
i've had a good day foodwise today, much better than yesterday and fingers crossed with another good day tommorow then the pate and crackers will be forgotten by the time i step on those scales
[msnscared] i'm such a scaredy cat and i'm the weigh lady[msneek]lol!!!!!

I have a bigger bust and bigger arms than her-so felt well chuffed.

Welcome to the group Deb. Another Robbie fan hey[clap][clap]
Didn't have such a great day yesterday, my sister was celebrating her Birthday so we were all at my parents. I will be on track again tomorrow.
My hubby had me running around aquarium centers with him yesterday to look at fish tanks, this is something he has been going on about for a while now[msneek] I've still not decided whether I want one. Does anyone on here keep fish or have any advice, we really haven't a clue.........and have you seen the prices, some of them cost £40 per fish[:O] or you can get little tiny ones, 2 for £5, maybe this is just this weeks fad we shall wait and see.
Welcome Debbie this is a great way to stay motivated the girls always have the rioght thing to say to encourage everyone .What sort of crafts do you do ?
Paula I had a bad day yesterday too I was given a bar of bourneville chocolate which I love but haven't had any for a long time and I sat last night and ate it [msnembarrased] goodness knows how many sins that will be ! so its on the treadmill for me in a minute after my weetabix and strawberries.
Alison keep up the good work [clap] you deserve some good news - the meet is early July can't remember the exact date -the others will tell you -go and have a good time .
Good morning everyone...lovely to feel so welcome I feel like I know you all already! Scary or what?!
It's not just Robbie's cheeky smile!.......and I have a confession.....I have a bit of a thing for the lovely Ronan!....
I've been busy this morning crafting - cross stitch and quilting are my two faves although I'll try most crafts at least once! sometimes more as my hubby keeps reminding me when I come home from yet another craft show/shop!
It's also my sisters birthday today and we're all going out for Lunch - will try to be good! Deb
Good Morning Everyone
well it's really grotty weather here on the north east coast[msnsad] my husband, bless him as still taken children to the park so i could have a sleep in[msnsmile]
Paula why not get your dh two goldfish and see if he can look after them first, before agreeing to the full works[msneek]after all a fish is a fish[msnwink]
Janny, was it a really big bar of bourneville? [msneek] well, i think you should forgive yourself and move on, after all the cadburys people did make their chocolate as a health product so you where just looking after yourself? right?[msnwink]

would love to come-but if it's 13 days away-doesn't tht make it a friday. I work Fridays-but can swap.
we often go to betty's in york-not very weight conscious friendly though.
I am determined to stick in though-I like feeling leaner already-and with just 11 weeks to go-that will keep me focused.
Even if I only lose 1lb a week-that's 1 lbs or 5.5 if I lose just half a pound a week.
so glad I got straight on track after my hols-when i started in january-there were too many distractions-florida for 3 weeks in jan/feb then my birthday, then mother's day then easter then florida again for 4.5 weeks-so really i didn't have a snowball's chance in that hot place-lol!
so gals-it's now or never!!!!
sorry to go off subject girls
but bl**dy hell, i've got a tan[msnsmile2] me the redhead (well under all this dye i'm a natural red head)
for those of you who have seen my photos you can't help but notice how white i am
well a few weeks ago i ordered a skin so soft moisturiser from avon that gradually builds up a self tan and it came last night
now i've tried self tan before but i'm so pale it always looks fake and you'd need a degree to apply it without it all going streaky or too orange
but hey this avon stuff is a whizz[clap] it says to build the tan up over 3-5 days but i only needed one application to get the pale just sunkissed sort of colour that i like and not a streak or orange knee anywhere in sight[msnwink]and my skin feels gorgeous, it's so soft!
and an absolute bargain 2 for a fiver[msnsmile2][msnsmile2][msnsmile2]

Same here...although I use the Johnsons one....only need to apply it once every few days or so to look healthy....marvelous!

Morning all.
Welcome Deb!
Julie-I know how hard you work at your diet, it must be so frustrating for you. Like Mizzy, I think if you're feeling a bit tired and run down at the moment, your body will be holding onto what it can. It's also a double whammy as your reduction in exercise slows things down as well. Hopefully you'll start to feel a bit more energetic-these cold viruses can knock you out for a while[grouphug]
Paula-we keep fish in a garden pond. We went for the "cheaper" option and bought lots of small ones a few years ago. Some of them are now like monsters
and survive the coldest of winters!
:D:D:D

Afternoon ladies. Welcome Debbie and well done on the huge weight loss so far.
Julie - have you had a thyroid test recently? Or is it lack or iron - before I had my hysterectomy I used to have the monthlies from hell twice a month for at least 10 days each. So tired I could barely put one foot in front of the other, iron tablets were the only thing that kept me going.
Was at my friends wedding yesterday, had a lovely time, had far too much to drink, so we'll just write off what went into my mouth I think!![msnwink] My horrible daughters took pictures of DH and I dancing[msnmad], but there is 1 nice one of the 3 of us.
Just off to do some quick food shopping then packing - DH has had to cancel so it is just the 3 of us going out and he is coming on when he can. Am getting Catriona insured for driving so I am not doing it all. so we have to do some painting, powerwash the deck and do some gardening in case he doesn't get to Orlando but only joins us for the Missouri leg!

Hi everyone
I haven't posted for a while - we have had a very busy few weeks, especially at work and then last weekend was the football tournament that we help with - 96 teams in total - I was exhausted.
It's taken me 1/2 hr just to catch up on the posts - everyone is doing so well.
Both DH and myself are still following the SW plan. I have lost 7lbs in total in 4 weeks and DH the same. So we are both really pleased.
I have spent the morning gardening and I am now off to eat some fruit and then I will go to the Gym before picking Matt & Danni up from my parents, DH is playing cricket, and ED is playing golf

Good afternoon ladies, long time no post!!
Things are really hotting up at work and I'm really busy so I don't seem to have much time at the moment.
Well, my weigh in today, stayed the same this week. [msnsad] I'm not really suprised though, having lost 6lb in the last two weeks, and the fact that I think I've overdosed on the carbs this week, I seem to have been really hungry for some reason. Never mind, back on track this week, I've got 36 weeks and 6 days till I go back to Florida so I have to keep going if I want to lose another 2 and a half stone before I go.[msnwink]
Keep with it ladies, we're all doing so well. Welcome Deb, 5 stone is incredible,[clap][clap][clap]. If you can't do it with the help of the ladies on here, it can't be done, they're all fab[msnwink].
Have a lovely afternoon everyone,
Speak to you soon,

Well I am back from our week on the boat. Didn't get very far as we had various problems, like engine, too much wind then not enough but never mind we had a good week.
Met up with Sally and family today when they brought our dog Tansy back. We had a walk with them and then took them down to our sailing club for lunch, very healthly too, salmon and salad with new potatoes. Thank you once again Sally for looking after Tansy.
Not sure how the scales will look this week, although food wise I was good while away, I drank more than I should have done, a G and T every night and a glass of wine also. Well as long as I have not gained I will be happy.
It has taken me ages to read all the news and I cannot possibly remember everything that has been said so I will just say welcome to the newcomers whoevery you may be.
Julie, I am sure the fact that you are not feeling on top form is the major factor for the scales not showing the improvements you had hoped for. Just look after yourself and it will come.
Mizzy, I see you have had your scan, hope the results are not too long in coming and they will then be able to sort your medication out.
Wish I could join you in York but it really is a bit far for me.
Fiona, have a good holiday and hope DH is able to join you before your trip to Missouri.
Can't remember everything else that has been said but well done to all those you have lost this last week and bad luck to those who didn't but I am sure next week you will.
Back on track today for meals,
Breakfast - cereal and fruit
Lunch - salmon, salad and new potatoes
Supper - fresh mackerel, caught yesterday by a friend, and salad.
Jill
nice to hear from you Julie B and congrats on staying the same[clap]
i always think that when you stay the same it's like your bodies way of having a rest stop and it helps in the long run when it comes to maintaining your weight
you too Michelle congrats on the 7lb weight loss[clap]
Fiona when do you go, is it tommorow?
Mizzy
No it's Tuesday and as we are going from Gatwick we will be leaving about 6.00am to avoid the worst of the traffic - only good news about DH not coming is we don't need a taxi as he will drive us down.
Just been out and bought our england t-shirts (well discreet ones) so this is probably the kiss of death, as YD wants to go to a sports bar and watch them if they get through today.

I'll think of you tomorrow on your treadmill....On a school day I try to get up at around 5.30 to do a video before work...After today I'll have to put a little bit more effort in to it.
yes i can see that Julie but why?
i hope your not eating or drinking less to lose the lbs
Deb , do you have access to a kettle whilst your away, if so, you can have some green days with say perhaps a baked potato whilst out for the day ( mainly because you can get baked spuds just about anywhere) and then some cous cous which is just made with boiling water for supper, lots of free fruit and a few cereal bars thrown in and you'll be all set
will check in soon ladies, oldest child is desperate for me to log off

Lovely photo Fiona. Hope you have a great hols, you can wear your England shirts with pride[msnwink], well at least until Saturday.
Been good all day apart from 1 Budweiser while watching the footy[msneek] How many syns? dont think I want to know.
Lets all have a good week next week. Good luck to all who are weighing in tomorrow.
Karen
dont really know about the syns in a bottle of bud Karen but i would guess at around the 10-15 mark so your ok with one, it's when you have 9 or 10 thats the problem [msnwink] and i'm not just talking syns either[beer]
Mizzy
10 to 15 syns for 1 bottle of Bud! Yikes, I could have had a bit of chocolate instead[msnoo] Well I wont make that mistake again.[msnmad]

Another good day for me too.
salad, fruit and salmon for lunch
fruit for snacks
baked potato for supper.
I met Fiona in Florida at Christmas 5 years ago-and yikes-I didn't recognise you in the photo you look 10 years younger-wowee and so glamorous too. I bet your DH is so proud of all of his girls.
You must try and post a photo of yourself from then to let the other ladies see how much you have changed.
Mizzy-not to worry about the York trip on the Friday-although I could have swapped my work day-a christmas one at macarthur glen would be better as it is much more wheelchair friendly. I do look forward to meeting you all.
Very intrigued as to what I weigh-but now up to day 12 of being very good-and I now have these amazing skinny feet again.
I'll be able to get into all of my 'thin' shoes.
My goal tonight is to go to bed now-I am having far too many late ights-1-15am this morning!!!!!
You have all been very kind, but I think it is because the girls have taken me in hand and don't let me dress like an outsize person any more! I have been wearing tents since I was a size 16 and thinking I was huge, and to be honest I did look it. Now I am pretty huge (as opposed to totally huge!) but they told me it is obvious you are big, wear tighter clothes and stop trying to hide it. So I no longer shop in the outsize places (as I have lost enough weight and many shops now do clothes up to 18 and 20 anyway) and buy trendier clothes. Still doesn't hide my size but I think it disguises alot.
Am also paying a fortune to have my hair done every 10 weeks, I have hightlights every other visit and touch up of the tint at the other visit, and that is part of it. And most importantly, I have good genes - my mother looked young for years and even now really doesn't look in her 70's.
Funnily enough Alison I don't have any old pictures of me, but the computer is only a couple of years old, I shall have to see if I can get one of the girls to scan an old one we have at home.
1 suitcase packed (the duvets and pillows!|) and other one is empty but all the clothes neatly lined up to go in. Hectic day tomorrow, walk hounds, early doctors appointments, dogs to kennels [msncry] and will make me feel guilty about going on holiday, work am and afternoon off at hairdressers paying aforemention fortune ... but I'm worth it[msntongue]!! Oh and in between all that my bedding washed.
Have a good day all and good luck anyone being weighed, was thinking of going to another class for just a weigh in, but somehow I don't think I will get there.
Fiona you look gorgeous, and what beautiful girls you have, really fantastic photo, very photogenic family!
My modem has been playing up, letting me on for a while, then switching itself offline, so I gave up with it the last couple of days, in sheer frustration. I just read back through about 6 pages in last couple of days, to catch up! I have to say I am so touched by everyone's kindness and good wishes over my separation with hubby, and your words really truly lifted me today, thank you all.
Orlandobabe I was interested to hear that you did better on red days, rather than green, due to the wheat. I think I am going to try and increase red days this week and see if it makes a difference, as I only seem to have lost half a pound this week, and I was tres good! I am down to about 11 stone 3 pounds now, its like my body likes being this weight, and no less, so frustrating. I was hoping to be 11 stone by the Irish Ball which is a week Saturday, but doesn't seem like I will. Here's hoping the red days shift it for me.
Morning all!!!
Theresa you and I are almost the same weight[msnwink]
Well t.t.o.t.m from hell still continues[msnsad][msncry] I am not expecting any loss this week despite being an angel all week (except for my one little blip last Tuesday with some cadburys fun size[msnembarrased]) as my scales are petty accurate. I am feeling very frustrated at the moment but I will just keep at it[clap]
Good luck Mizzy tonight!!!!

Fiona had to do this!!
you can see how well you look from this piccie we had in the mugshot gallery, and look at the weight difference!!
you sure are a star Fiona[msnsmile2]
like you i tried to hide myself under bigger clothes, in fact i spent almost a decade in very long shapeless skirts with very long jumpers and cardigans in an attempt to cover my bum
it not only made me look loads bigger but it made me look much older too
in summer 04 i met up with a girl i'd been to school with and she had gone from a size 10 to a size 24 and i was so shocked but after the shock wore off and whilst we sat drinking coffee i noticed that yes she was bigger but she looked fantastic, still had lots of confidence and she dressed in trendy clothes so she sort of inspired me and i went and bought my first pair of jeans and a pair of black trousers for almost 10 years[msnoo] ok so i wasn't a size 12 or even a 14 anymore and for the first few outings in the clothes i did feel self concious and worry what other people though but now i try not to worry and get on with living my life for myself and not for others[clap][clap][clap]
oops school run time gotta dash[msneek]

Like I said before Fiona-hubby must be so proud of you all.
Seeing your lovely photo made me think. I am going to keep on track and when I next got to Florida in Sept I will dress up(only a little-as I don't keep any dressy clothes out there-in fact if the truth be known I don't possess any) and will go to Walmart and have my photo professionally taken-it was $6. 44 when we were there two weeks ago. I had baby Toby photographed and they were gorgeous-course they ake extra and we bought extra-but we had 3 poses for $50 and they give you loads of prints.
Re-red days on SW. That was all I used when I used to go to classes. I used to have fruit for breakfast-or sometimes some protein-depended how hungry I was or how much time I had-then protein and veg for lunch-then same for supper with fruit snacks in between. I don't drink alcohol so saved the sins for 2 min aero bars which I think were 6 sins each. I also don't drink milk in yogurts or in teas-but agaain my two little treats a day were fine.
I lost weight every week-shedding almost 2.5 stones and weighing about 10st 3lbs-just right for my height and medium bone structure.
I did this when I first got the villa and realised at about 12st plus I was very uncomfortable in those small seats on the charter planes-plus I have to be lifted on those horrible aisle chairs-and would have felt dreadful if I had been even bigger.
Now and again I did have some bread from the allowance but maybe only once or twice a week-and it didn't affect me like it would if I had been eating it every day.
On the other hand a lady at the club was vegetarian and she had big bowls of pasta every day and lost weight every week.
It probably all sepends on body type.
Hope that helps.

well done Theresa[clap][clap][clap] every lb is a step in the right direction[msnsmile]
i feel like i haven't stopped at all this morning, i've had loads of paperwork to do and my head is spinning, so i'm off now to have lunch (breakfast omelette) and then may chill with a book for a few hours before the children get back from school
Julieanne we will do our best to keep you on the straight and narrow, but you do have to want to do it for yourself too or it won't work[msnsmile]
catch you later

Greetings all .
Fiona fantastic pics - I can tell you girls the family look better in real life and Chris isn't too bad either :D:D:D
Done my workout- collected YS form college and booked flights for July 20 [msnsmile2][msnsmile2][msnsmile2][msnsmile2] so have an added incentive to get cracking and lose the last few pounds I want to lose to feel really happy with my self .
Red day today although not sure what we will eat yet .I prefer green days but the menn here love their meat so I go with the to avoid cooking twice although I do admit to cheating them by gicing them quorn curries now and again [msnembarrased]
Have a good day all and good luck to those weighing in soon.
Well DH has just got home from working with one of regular clients and the MD's PA is from York so she bought me a present from Bettys[msntongue][msntongue][msntongue] A Yorkshire Fat Rascal - A large plump and fruity scone with cherry and almond face[msneek][msneek][msneek] Its looks and smells yummy but think I will just have a small tatse and give the rest to the little ones[angel]

As you know I don't really do SW 100% just try to work on some of the principles.
Today I have had porridge for breakfast, grapes and banana, chicken & sweetcorn sandwich on one slice of wholemeal bread.
Got more fruit for this afternoon and chicken and veg for tonight's meal.
Am not going to make it to the gym but will be on my feet all night packing boxes [msneek]
Julieanne I know you can do it[msnwink][msnwink] Just press the reset button in your head and start again, don't beat yourself up though as you have a lot going on with your house move etc[grouphug]

Good afternoon all.
Fiona, great photos and in case I don't have time again have a great holiday and hope that Chris does manage to catch up with your for the Missouri part of the holiday.
Julieanne, stick with, keep logging on everytime you feel tempted and read everyone else trials and tribulations and you will forget to eat. I think this thread could form the basis of a book if anyone is so minded. Another Bridget Jones' diary perhaps[?][?]
A miserable morning here, tennis rained off, got soaked walking the dog and was looking forward to watching Wimbledon, but it's raining there too. It has now stopped here so hopefully an afternoon walk in the dry.
Not sure what kind of day I shall end up having, probably a red day as we are going out for supper at friends tonight and she is a very good cook.
I have so much to do after only one week away so must buckle down and do some paperwork, then some housework. I spent yesterday afternoon sorting clothes out and trying on clothes, it was good to find many were too large, some I will able to alter, others will go to the charity shop. I then found others that I had not worn for two to three years fitted. I told DH that if I keep on lossing it will cost him a fortune in new clothes and it might be cheaper to have a trip to Florida [msnwink][msnwink]
Jill
Well done Theresa, its all in the right direction.[clap][clap][clap]

Hiya gals - OB please don't think I wear dresses like that all the time - I bought it especially for my friend;s wedding but I am going to wear it to death from now on as I might (hope, sweat/pray she says through gritted teeth) I will be a different size after my op in September with the combined effort of my dieting and the procedure.
In mega haste, was all morning at the office, got to my hair appointment a few minutes late which I hate doing. Hounds went into the kennels very happy, greeted them all like long-lost friends which made me feel at least happier about that part of it.
Am off to finish the packing!

I feel I am starting all over again, never mind though their is quite enough inspiration on here to find new recipes and ideas.
My old class was alot busier than the new one and the old rep had a box full of ideas that she would leave on the table for us to read. I will see how I get on anyway, if I can change back to my old class soon I think I will.
Have a great day everyone and good luck to those who are getting weighed today.
Thanks Paula, even though I have been very good again this week my scales are not showing much of a loss so who knows[?][msnscared]
Shame you feel you are starting over but think of it in a positive light, how much have you lost so far in total?
I have lost 1 stone and 6 lbs since the begining of Feb = 1 stone 2 lbs since starting SW classes[clap]

Only one more pound to your stone award[clap][clap][clap][clap] Well done Paula!!!![clap][clap][clap]
congratulations Paula that is a great acheivement, you mentioned starting over does that mean you have yesterdays weight as your new starting weight?, because you should be able to use your old book or transfer you original weight loss into your new book
if your not doing either then i would have a quiet word with the consultant
and also i would try and go to the class you feel most comfortable with, the people around you are there to help and if you don't feel comfortable then it may let you down
like Julie said looking at the bigger picture is a great way of measuring success, sometimes we get too hung up on that little figure on those scales, you've lost almost a stone[clap][clap][clap][clap][clap] can you believe it?[msnsmile]
good luck for todays weigh in Julie and NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS you too need to look at the bigger picture and remind yourself of how well you have done[clap][clap][clap]

Whatever you do-never get weighed at night. You'll always be heavier.
Get weighed in morning-when the body has had time to process everything and any fluid retention has worn off.
I bet I would weigh as much as 2-4 lb heavier depending on how much fluid I had retained.
Could really go mad and start on my grandsons sweets-but wil continue to think of the bigger picture-(with a smaller me in it-lol!)ie me in Florida in Sept a stone and a half lighter.
Also need to atone for all that dried fruit yesterday.
Haven't decided what I am having yet-so just munching on half a melon so far.

sardines doesn't work but squash does.
Well done Sharon and Julie[clap][clap][clap]
I am not very confident for tonight's weigh in. I have been very good (well, apart from the bud during Sunday's England game[msneek]), but feeling very bloated[msnmad]. I also agree with what Orlandobabe says about weighing at night as I know that I am at least 3 or 4lbs heavier at night time. Although, I suppose I did get weighed for the first time at the class at night, so.......... will just have to wait and see.
Good luck to anybody else who is still to get weighed today.
Karen
I am always 2lb heavier in the evening than I am in the mornings. I don't think it matters what time you get weighed as long as it is the same time each week.
Julie maybe addicted to Starbucks but I am addicted to weighing myself[msneek], I must weigh myself about 8 times a day.

Sally stop weighing yourself. I know it's easy to jump on the scales but as my last leader said that result can control you for the rest of the day, ie; if it's a good result you will feel all happy and positive however if the result isn't good (and this is were I was going wrong) I would feel fed up for the rest of the day which can send me on a spiral of thinking "If I've been good is this effort worth it?" the kit kats would be calling me from the fridge and the cookies from the cupboard.
congratulations Sharon and Julie [clap][clap][clap][clap][clap] you are both doing fantastic[msnsmile2]
Sally Paula is right, getting weighed all the time does have an impact on how we feel, if the scales show that your not doing as well as you wanted then it sometimes has a negative impact and it's so easy to sabotage all your good work because of what the scales said
Good Luck with tonights weigh in Karen [msnsmile]i know how you feel about weighing on a night but as long as it's once a week and at the same time then your loss will be accurate and consistant, like you said your first weigh in was on a night

Thanks Mizzy!!
Re weighing in, I try to wear the same outfit every week too, its amazing how much heavier you are in jeans etc, so I stick to the same cotton trousers and a T shirt[msnwink]
jeans weigh between 2-3lbs, i know because we've had members strip them off when they don't like what the scales are saying[msneek]
one girl removed a big heavy shell necklace last week only to find she weighed a 1lb less without it!

Silly girl-lol-as if you would. My aunti had her slimming dress. Just a lightweight polyester effort that weighed about half a pound.
Well not knowing what to eat and before I went mad and ate something I should'nt had a chicken and cheese omelette.
Need to go food shopping.
