John Lewis and M&S usually have a good selection of quilt covers.

Ross for less is excellent...anything from walmart/k mart to ralph lauren..look on the strip malls..there is one at clermont landings, the loop, posner park, loads of them.. they also do fab towels, clothes, shoes, handbags etc etc..
We have a 6' bed and I buy all my linen in Florida including pillows. I used to buy it in Burdines in the Florida Mall but when it changed over to Macey's the bedding department seemed to shrink in size and the selection suffered as a result.
I now look in Beds Bath and Beyond for pillows and Ross Dress for Less for sheet sets and comforter covers. They did have King size covers but not twin size which I was looking for on my last visit.
Why not look in Beds Bath and Beyond for "Bed in a Bag" sets, you get comforter, shams, sheet sets and valance ranging in price from $80 to $200. Some sets I looked at in April this year came with 2 sets of sheet sets and extra pillows to dress the bed.
Ross also has Bed in a Bag sets and comforter sets but don't normally have as big a selection as Beds Bath & Beyond.
If buying a Bed in a Bag you should also buy a Jumbo space bag to get it home. In the Flea Markets on the 192 they sell extra large holdalls ideal for taking home clothes and bedding which have been packed in space bags.
Best place to buy space bags is Walmart and you'll find them in the aisle with Vacumn cleaners in.
Next also sell superking bedlinen in the UK.
We bought US King size pillows back from the US with cream and white pillow cases to coordinate with our M&S and Next super king bedlinen. We put them on top of the small ones when we sleep (bit of pain as they aren't as pretty as the ones which go with the quilt set!).
I have asked in M&S why they don't sell large pillows for their superking beds.... the staff thought it was a good idea but haven't seen any in the UK yet. Overstock.com sell them and can ship to the UK but I haven't bought from them personally.
In the UK you can get some lovely bed linens at great prices at Dunelm Mill.
But in Florida we use either Bed, Bath & Beyond or JC Penney, although I was a bit disappointed at the smaller bedding department at Florida Mall recently.

I don't know much about bedding sizes or the relative qualities of such things in the US compared with the UK but I do know from experience that they are often bulky and heavy. You might want to consider the impact on your baggage allowance on the flight home before buying over there.
This was an old posting Andrena so am sure they will be sorted by now. Let's hope so!
