help!!!
[msneek] what choice...ok first time to Florida, read the post here, read the park info, still confused...[msncry]
what's the best choice for tickets. Staying for two weeks july 30 onwards, but so much to see and do.
Family of 4, boy aged 15 and girl aged 11
Any suggestions much apprciated.
Spoilt for choice I think, but not having been before and heard so much and read so much, I think I am more confused. Oh one thing, I would like to take my son fishing at least one day, sea fishing.
Thanks
Bob

Bob, it really depends on your family preferences, our kids love Universal for the big roller coasters etc that you find at Islands of Adventure so this is always a must!
When younger they loved Disney but now prefer Universal so we always opt for the Flex ticket that covers Universal, Sea World, Wet n Wild and Busch Gradens for the duration of a 2 week stay.
As this is your first trip you may want to think about tickets that offer just 3 days at Disney and the same for Universal!
But of course you still have to think about Sea World, Busch Gardens, Wet n Wild etc etc etc.
If you are staying for just 2 weeks you will never fit everything in! but of course this will leave plenty to do on your next trip [msnwink]

Bob, take a good look at the ticket link at the top of the page and have a pow wow with all the family and decide on your "must dos"
I would not feel I had to visit every single attraction on offer, but rather do your top choices thoroughly: you will be coming again.
Disney hoppers are good and you will definitely want to go to Universal; Aquatica will be open when you go and is probably a must.
Once you have the main parks in place, then you can see what time you have left. And don' forget to leave some time to enjoy your lovely villa and get some bargain shopping.
Next time, book 3 weeks, that way you can have a busy day followed by a light day. One thing is guaranteed....you'll be back!

Hi Bob, think - cos of your kids ages - will love universal and ioa so thats a must. first year we went got the Disney 14 day tickets for all the parks plus water parks, great option plus on this site are doing 7 day universal and IOA (this works out cheeper than paying on the gate for 2 day ticket!!) the parks i would do would be magical kingdom, epcot, mgm, animal kingdom, universal and islands of adventure, typhoon lagoon in between parks to relax!! and seaworld. try to spread out over the 14days. A trip to clearwater approx 2 hr drive have many sea fishing trips. Alot to fit in over 2 weeks but if planned like a military manouver can be done just dont try to do the parks in 1 week as will knacker you out!! have fun.

When our children were younger I used to find it useful to make a chart of all the places they would enjoy visiting and then match the ticket choices to that.

i'd say a rough basic itinerary is a good idea
i would also recommend you look at the above link for tickets
my biggest tip is don't be tempted to buy too many tickets that you end up not getting the full use or value from

Many thanks for all the replies, it's shows what a fantastic site this is, and such a friendly bunch too.
We have told the kids we want an itinery, but not to be trying to do so much, as we will then have to go back again anyway...
We got hold of a dvd from one of the holiday companies that has all the parks on so we can at least see what's on offer.
Also got to praise everyone for banding together on here and offering so much advise, not just to me but all I have read in the other parts of the forum as well.
Can't wait to go now!!!!
Thanks. BTW - We are staying at Indian Ridge Oaks.
