What to see and do in Agadir - Part 5

Restaurant Daffy

This hidden gem serves delicious Moroccan cuisine to reasonable prices. The Tagine, as ever, is very popular. The restaurant is located close to a mosque and therefore no alcoholic beverages are served here. However if you do it discreetly you are allowed to bring your own.

Mezzo Mezzo

At Mezzo Mezzo you can enjoy an authentic Italian meal to a reasonable price. They have all the traditional dishes such as pizza, pasta and risotto as well as a quite large list of wines. The atmosphere and staff are warm and welcoming.

Mauresque Lounge

Here you can find a traditional style Moroccan decorated dining room where you can immerse yourself in Mediterranean atmosphere and Moroccan food. The outdoor terrace is also nice and you can choose whether you want sit on the inside or outside. Either way you will have good service from the friendly waiters.

Le Vendôme

Le Vendôme offers delicious food in large portions and also a perfect view of the long sandy beach and the sea. They serve both genuine Moroccan food and international dishes. This restaurant is often very full and twice a week you will find your meal is accompanied by live performers.

Mimi La Brochette

This is a small restaurant compared to the others I have mentioned. You will find it along the promenade. You always seem to be greeted with a warm welcome. The menu offers a good choice of seafood but I can recommend the grilled dishes.

Chiche Kebab

If you want a quick meal of a kebab, pizza or hamburger then Chiche Kebab is a good place to head to. It is only a small place but it offers quality fast food at affordable prices. Defiantly try their selection of dipping sauces for the kebabs are they are special.

Restaurant Côté Court

This for the want of a better word is a ‘posh’ restaurant and is located next to the Royal Tennis Club. It is well visited by its regulars and tourists have also started to find their way there. They serve a mix of traditional Moroccan cuisine and international dishes.

CAFES

Agadir’s gastronomic culture is influenced by the need to cater for the many different nationalities that flock to its restaurants and cafés, so you will find food to satisfy all palettes. There is a wide selection of traditional Moroccan cookies and French pastries for everyone with a sweet tooth. After the pastries try quenching your thirst with a cup of mint tea.

La Verandah

After searching the shops for your gifts why not relax with a thick black coffee and one of their mouth-watering pastries. La Verandah is also a great place for breakfast or a quick lunch.
