Things to do in the Agadir area

Golf

There are three different golf clubs in the area around Agadir. The Agadir Royal Golf Club only has 9 holes and is the oldest one which founded in 1951. The other two clubs are Les Dunes Golf Club and Le Soleil Golf Club both of which opened in the 90' s. The climate here is perfect for all year golfing.

Le Musée de l' Argan

This place should not be mistaken for a museum even if the name says it is. This is a traditional Eastern spa with a Hammam and body and facial treatments centre. You can go there to get a thorough scrub and afterwards have a relaxing time.

Vallée des Oiseaux

Vallée des Oiseaux is a small zoo with its main focus being on birds. It has a child’s playground, unusual
animals and no entrance fee, so this is can be a good place for a family to visit. It can be quite crowded during weekends since it is also popular with the local population.

Cooking Class

Is Moroccan cuisine something you like and you want to cook your own Tagine and couscous? If so then consider signing up for one of the many cooking class on offer. It doesn' t matter if you are a beginner or a more advanced chef; everyone with a food interest enjoys this.

Camel Rides

The best way to experience the genuine atmosphere of Morocco and Agadir is from the saddle of a Camel. Several companies offer the opportunity to take a tour along the long sandy beach and watch the beautiful sunset.

Biking

Do you want to find the hidden spots of Agadir and its surrounding area? Then hiring a bike is a good option for transporting yourself around. You can book a tour with a guide and let them tell you about the country, city and what they recommend that you to see. There are tours for many different levels so everyone is catered for.

Agadir Oufella Ruins

This was once the original city but today the ruins give visitors a spectacular view of the ' new' Agadir. You can take a guided tour here or even a Camel ride. Just this place offers you the chance to take some perfect photos of the area and the sunsets.

Taghazout Beach

Just to the North of Agadir you can find this 8 km long sandy beach. It was first visited by the hippies who arrived there in the 60' s. Today it is considered to be one of the best surf spot of Morocco. It is also very popular with people who are just looking for a relaxing day in the sun.
