VISITING A BEACH AT ST CLOUD

After visiting the theme parks and shopping malls iy is nice to take a trip away from the Disney area to the tower of St Cloud, and a visit man made beach against the Lake Topo.

The round trip from the centre of KISSIMMEE is approx 20 miles. The directions are to take the HWY 192 east , As you approach the centre of St Cloud you will see a well known mark which is the large water tower with the name St Cloud on it. This is on the right hand side of the road - you will also notice there are a series of traffic signals. 8/10 of them and the names of the streets which are sigposted on the overhead traffic structures are names of STATES IN THE NORTH OF AMERICA. Any one of these streets by turning left will bring you to the lake side.

At the lakeside you will find a man made beach which is very child friendly. Also there is a comperhensive play ground with the usual swings, slides and water features.

Besides this is a well known resturant called CRABBY BILLS, where you can buy snacks or have a full meal.

If you wish to picnic at the lake side there are picnic tables and benches.

There is a causeway projecting into the lake and a lot of fishing can be done here. This is near to a boating marina where a varity of boats are moored.

One of benifits of the location is there provision of plenty free car parking.
