The Red Lobster

For the best Lobsters in Orlando my money goes on the Red lobster. The atmosphere is great and the food is even greater. It is not your average run of the mill restaurant , but for people who enjoy good quality food that’s the place to go. Freshly caught Maine lobsters are available for a reasonable price.

Whether you like them whole served in their shell or half lobster tails dripping with garlic butter you will get the best in there. All sorts of other seafood is available, crayfish , crab and shrimp served several different ways , and of course for the one in the party that doesn’t like fish there is always a good selection of chicken or steaks. On certain evenings they have all you can eat shrimp deals the ordinary serving does me so unless you have a very good appetite don’t attempt it. You always get lovely cheesy warm rolls to start with and a large salad with various dressings.

When you get inside you will see a big tank of live lobsters, this can be a bit off putting as many of us do not want to pick out the actual lobster that we are going to eat. You are given a little bleeper if there is a wait for a table and as you are sitting at their bar it goes off to tell you they now have a table for you. The wait is never very long and it is well worth it even if you do have to wait a while.

The night we decided to go to the Red Lobster they had a charity night , where all the servers were the sheriffs from Orlando and they were giving their services free to raise money for charity, they were also selling tee shirts to help with the cause and they all made a great job of it . I mean who wants to complain when your sever arrives at your table and you can see his gun under his apron !!!!!!! I don’t think so, but joking aside they did do well and raised a lot of money.

Another specialty they have is their cocktails, after ordering one myself was told that the double ones were just a $ extra so thinking it would be just that, a double, I went ahead and ordered , to find that when it arrived it was absolutely enormous and everyone that came into the restaurant did a double take as they walked past our table, needless to say I did manage to finish it and it was really good, hic !

The service is very good , as is most of the places we have eaten in Florida , the servers do their best and are very friendly and helpful. Certainly one on my returning lists.
