LAKERIDGE WINERY AND VINEYAR EVENTS JANUARY – JUNE 2009

For those of you who consider yourselves to be wine buffs, and who want a change from visiting parks or shopping, a trip to Lakeridge Winery and Vineyards is an essential day out. Lakeridge Winery and Vineyards is a family business set amongst the rolling hills of Clermont. It is a short drive up Highway 27, and tours run daily at 15-20 minute intervals. These tours include a video presentation, followed by a tour with a personal guide to show you the production area. The highlight of the tour is, of course, the wine tasting, which takes place at a large tasting counter. You can also visit the shop where you can buy wine or gifts such as cork pullers, foil cutters, cook books and wine reference guides to take home.

Not only can you take a complimentary wine tasting tour of the production facility but there are regular events each month which are either free or cost a minimal $2 which goes to charity. Parking is normally free and there is usually plenty of seating, although you are welcome to bring your own rugs and chairs.
