For those who love panoramic views, relaxation and characteristic villages, an excellent mete is represented by the Municipality of Torno.

It is a small centre overlooking the lake. On the marina’s square, where simple boats sail without unnecessary pomp, there is the parish church called Santa Tecla. Visit the church dedicated to St. John the Baptist, which dates back to 300: tradition says that a past bishop left one of the nails of the cross of Christ in the woods nearby you can see a curious boulder, Pendula Stone, which looks like a huge mushroom (the huge massive stone rests on another small stone that keeps in balance.

You can fall in love at first sight with her harmonious spirit, finding peace and serenity upon entering the church of Santa Maria del Tiglio, walking in silence through the cloister of the ex-convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie or admiring the sacred treasures nestled in numerous churches.

Then you can understand that this town, between Lake Como and mountains, must be discovered. You feel suspended between the past and present: exploring the historical centre with its steps, little squares, narrow lanes and ancient fascias, you are catapulted into times gone by. Gallio palace, the old castle and murals are a permanent symbol. Over your shoulder, the open green valley appears finding historical villages such as Brenzio, Dosso del Liro, Peglio and Livo where the beauty is rural and authentic.

If you prefer tranquillity then our beaches and romantic walks are the perfect places for relaxing. Above all there are sports, take your pick: tennis, swimming, sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, waterskiing, biking, canyoning, rafting, rock climbing, absailing, and trekking, canoeing, paragliding.

The wonderful Mennaggio is situated in a strategic position, leaning forward the eastern shore of Lake Como, facing Varenna and towards Bellagio, also able to be directed to the north to the upper lake.

And going up, we come back toward Colico. In the middle, there are 30 kilometres divided among San Siro, Dongo, Gravedona and Damaso: a tour in the tradition of the territory, able to be new for summertime, between bathing tourism and aquatic sports.
Starting from Mennagio, a real hymn to tourism that is able to offer a wonderful lake-front, the beautiful Garibaldi square and th history of “ Madseum inn Paris nna col bambino e un angelo” of Bernardino Luini that is kept of the Louvre museum in Paris.
