The Saint Panteleon district is just a short walk past inspiring facades rising like cliff faces from the street below, under the watchful eye of menacing gargoyles. The Place de la liberation, has been known since 1944, the local councillors at the time also wanted to pay homage to the sculpture in the jardin de la Prefecture. The sculpture depicts a kidnap scene, . It shows a man kidnapping a woman , it symbolises a marine god carrying a nymph away to his watery kingdom.
Sainte Madeleine church is of all the admirable churches in Troyes is perhaps the oldest and certainly one of the most beautiful. It is remarkable for its famous rood screen and the stained glass windows. A masterpiece of exceptional finesse that all visitors admire.
Troyes the city of romance, capital of Champagne area is well worth visiting and boasts many international tourist from across the world.
