Florida Mall (10)

Their slogan is The best, The biggest, The most, and it most certainly is the biggest shopping Mall I have ever been to. With all the shops (approx 250) you could ever want and some crazy prices as well. It is a great place to spend a day.

Within the Mall there are the big department stores which we are known to us in the UK these include JC Penny’s, Sears, Dillards and Macy’s to name but a few.

There is a Disney Store within the Mall, which is no way near as big as the Store in Downtown Disney but we have managed to pick up some great bargains here.

My favorite shop has to be “Field of Dreams” which offers authentic sports memorabilia with many of the items signed by the famous sports person or team. It has the prefect location opposite the Candy Shop so the missus takes the kids in there to get their sweet fix and I go in to the shop to browse in peace and quiet, and relive some great sporting moments, as it’s not totally dedicated to US sports.

The one shop I’m aiming to visit on my next visit is the Oakley Store and trying to pick-up a watch.

Through for my girls after the Candy Shop their favorite store is Claire’s……….and yes it is the same chain that you find in the UK.

It is worth visiting their web-site before you go as you will get a full store listing and what promotions are happening at what store during your visit and sometimes they have coupons which you can print off and save some additional money.

There is a large food court where you get array of choice from Taco Bell to Subway and a seating area, through this always seem busy.

The one complaint I would have of the Florida Mall is that the signage for the Restrooms is not the most straight forward and quite confusing, I managed to walk round the entire Mall to find the Restrooms were where I started from.

However there are Restrooms at the food court which are a lot easier to find.

The Mall’s address is 8001 South Orange Blossom Trial, which is located at the Corner of Sand Lake Road (SR482) and the South Orange Blossom Trial (SR441). The opening times are Mon-Sat 10am to 9pm and on Sunday 12pm to 6pm. There is loads of free parking, so remember where you have parked.
