Down Town Disney

Disney Village market place is a great place to spend some time. Its good if it’s raining as the shops all more or less run into each other so you can easily roam through each shop without getting wet.

There are many different themed shops that have all the usual goods that Disney sells. The Bibbiti, Bobbiti Boo salon is in this shop, here little girls can be made over into little princesses, and there are 3 different packages when we took our grandchildren

The first is a basic package where the children get their Hair and shimmering make up done. The second package gets the hair and make up plus nails. The third gets Hair, make up nails a full outfit including shoes ext plus a photo package. This is not cheap but so memorable our grandchildren still talk about it.

There are many restaurants also:

The rainforest café is a full service restaurant (waitress service) you get big portions and the atmosphere is second to none, my husband had a beef burger and he struggled to eat it all.

There are other more casual dining options

The earl of Sandwich as you would imagine has lots of different sandwiches,

Giadelli is an ice cream type shop where they do some excellent ice cream sundaes you can also buy and try their chocolate.

One of the shops is dedicated to all things Christmas this is the same all year round but climaxes at Christmas a few years ago they did a room themed on the north pole it was all ice and cold but they have not done that in recent years which is a pity as it was very good.

Then there is west side which is the entertainment side, here you can see Cirque Du Solei La nouba which I was told meant to live it up and it certainly lives up to the name.

Which is a very fast paced energetic circus type performance with lots going on all at once and well worth a visit to see this show?
Around this part on Downtown are some other upscale restaurants but are priced much higher than say the Rainforest.

There is also another area called Pleasure Island here there are some bars and clubs but they are going through some renovations last time we were there but I was told it would be “awesome “ when it will be finished
`
Downtown Disney is well worth a visit anytime of the day so please take the time to have a look around, several of our guests travelling on Virgin Atlantic go down as they leave the villa check in there luggage at the Downtown Disney check in area ( by Cirque Du Solei) then spend some time there in either Disney resort quest or just last minute shopping there
