Dixie Stampede in Orlando was opened a couple of years ago. It is situated at:
8251 Vineland Avenue, that is across from Premium Outlets. You can exit the I4 at exit 68 to gain entrance to it.
Dixie Stampede began as a dream for world-renowned singer and entertainer Dolly Parton. The first location opened in Pigeon Forge, just outside the entrance to Dolly's own theme park, Dollywood. Dolly is quoted as saying "I wanted to recreate the family fun of my childhood, when we'd gather for a friendly competition and enjoy a more-than-filling meal”
Most of the Orlando free publications offer $5 discount vouchers off the admission price. If you like to pre plan tickets can be booked on line.
Your ticket includes admission, the Carriage Room Opening Act, the four-course feast, and spectacular Main Show. Vegetarian meals are available upon request.
Beverages such as soft drinks and coffee are included with your meal during the Show. When Dixie Stampede first opened in Orlando it did not serve alcohol. Now House selections of beer and wine are included (limit two servings per guest). Domestic and imported beers and wine may be purchased before and during the Show.
If you get there early you can take a stroll in the outdoor stable area before the show where you can get a preview of the horses.
The Carriage Room Opening Act begins 50 minutes prior to the grand Dinner and Show in the Arena. You can enjoy popcorn, peanuts and a beverage while being entertained. At Showtime, you’ll be escorted into the beautiful arena where the Dixie Stampede four-course meal and Show begin.
Amidst the fog, the sound of beating hooves begins to grow and the crowd watches in amazement and the excitement spreads throughout the grand arena … a herd of wild buffalo appears.
This is a fun-filled, action-packed Dinner and Show extravaganza for everyone.
With 32 horses, dozens of cast members, live buffalo, amazing ostrich races, it brings together stunning performers, amazing horse feats, fantastic stunt riders, and magic as well as audience participation.
If you are in Orlando at Christmas the Christmas Show “ Let it Snow” is well worth seeing. You will start one hour before the main arena show, enjoying some of the best Christmas music and family entertainment in the Carriage Room.
From softly falling snow to the breathtaking live nativity scene, the Dixie Stampede is magically transformed into a holiday fantasy with twinkling lights, evergreens, poinsettias, old-fashioned holiday costumes and familiar holiday music.
The live nativity scene is both dramatic and spectacular. The true meaning of Christmas comes alive as you see three kings riding atop camels on their way to Bethlehem as angels appear from above.
The holiday festivities get playful as Elves from the North Pole and South Pole compete in a friendly rivalry while serving up a festive four-course feast! You cheer for your favourite Elves as the audience is always part of the show. Be ready to stomp your feet and get really loud.
Finally no Christmas show is complete without St. Nick! Young and old alike enjoy the arrival of Santa atop his authentic sleigh full of goodies.
Enjoy.
