Having on many occasions while out in Orlando looking for a relaxing place to watch football while having a drink, we finally found the perfect Irish Pub called Devenney’s.
Only recently opened, Devenney’s Irish Pub is the sort of place where both local’s but more so Holiday makers to Orlando can have a really good few drinks along with enjoying typical pub food while taking in the influx of British Sport while away on Vacation.
Situated right next to the US27 / US192 junction, Devenney’s Irish Pub is ideally placed for those holiday makers staying in Holiday Villa’s on the US27 or those staying on the US192 west of Disneyworld.
From the US192 you would take the north exit onto the US27 then take an immediate left turn and straight into the car park or if you were south of junction US27 / US192 you would take the first immediate left once past the junction and again turn straight into the car park.
On entering, Devenney’s is spacious with plenty of tables and chairs for guests to seat and eat, with the main focus being the Bar straight in the middle. Standing at the bar, you are presented with an array of thirst quenching beers, including such names as Boddingtons, Carlsberg and best of all Guinness. Along with other drafts and bottled beers the choice is vast but refreshing.
Although I didn’t look too much at the food menu, what I did notice were typical English dishes, Fish & Chips, Full Breakfast, Bangers & Mash along with Burgers, Chicken Wraps, the menu will cater for everyone, and best of all English portions instead of the Typical American Diner Belly Busting portions. Not good for us English with our non American Appetites.
As for viewing the sport, they have a number of Flat Screen TV’s positioned around the pub so you can always make sure you don’t miss the action. Football Games generally start anything from 10am till 2. 30pm obviously due to the time difference. But if you check their website then they will list all the main matches which you would expect to see back home in the UK.
Devenney’s Irish Pub is certainly the place for a great beer along with fine food, fine sport for all you football fans, but it also has a very welcoming atmosphere. Being based in Orlando Devenney’s is certainly the place to be if you want to feel at home but be in a better climate.
