DINING
Casablanca is a multi-cultural city and while many of the restaurants serve a menu consisting of only Moroccan or French food there are also Oriental, Mexican, Italian, Indian and American style places to be found here. However, remember that during Ramadan there may be restrictions on menus and opening hours. It is worth looking out for Mechoui, which is a dish made of spit-roasted lamb seasoned with paprika and cumin. Also, Bisteeya which is a savoury pastry that contains chicken and eggs in a lemony onion sauce topped with crushed almonds and cinnamon and sugar. Casablanca is also known for its ice cream parlours and patisseries.
