The Belgian coast stretches over 67 kilometres between France and the Netherlands. Ten communities each other with their own character offer every visitor something to taste.

Even if you are staying for a weekend, or spending a day off at the coast, there is so much to discover in addition to the sea, the sand and the beach. Amusement parks and zoos, interesting museums, water sport activities, excellent seafood, nice cafes and a lot more for every season, the whole year around.

First stop is De Panne, a city that hosts one of Belgium’s theme park called Popsa Land. Popsa land is 4km from the beach and easily accessible by train. Is a top theme park offers over 50 attractions for the entire family.

Abbey museum of the Dunes, offers a daily life in the medieval Cistercian abbey and be surprised at the unique archaeological site.
The beaches in Flanders can get crowded, especially in the Summer, but where hidden places along the 67 kilometres coastline you can eat seafood, visit quirky museums, hike, and stay in lovely B&B’s.

De Panne is a lively seaside town closer to the French border where King Albert was based during the WW1. The centre is dominated by high-rise apartments but you can set off on hike along the beach and quickly leave the crowds behind. The Dumont Quarter is a cluster of old beach houses lies hidden in the Dunes to the South of De Panne city, They are inspired by English cottages .

Sint-Idesbald/Koksijde . A relaxed resort town where Belgians spend lazy summers sitting on the beach, riding go karts, cycling, play golf, horseback riding, sport fishing and eating waffles.

Near Koksijde , Abbey museum of the Dunes, located offers a daily life in the medieval Cistercian abbey and be surprised at the unique archaeological site. In this area you can also visit the Navigo, National Fisheries museum with the history of Flemish fishing and North Sea acquariums, The military airfield constructed in 1940 and now used as basic military education.

If you are travelling with the coast tram, you will pass some strange and beautiful places, the oldest side comes outside of Koksijde where you glimpse a bizarre building in the Dunes in the shape of French transantlantic liner Normandie. Now is a restaurant.
Brasserie Siska is popular for both locals and tourists for their homemade pancakes and waffles.

As you can see there is lots to do at the Belgium coast! !
