You are allowed to eat anywhere you like. The resort restaurants are public places, but they are usually busy and booking (often weeks in advance) is usually necessary. This Spring we stayed at Orange Tree and ate at California Grill in the Contemporary Resort and Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club Resort to name a few. The Boma Buffet at the AK Lodge is popular among the Villa stayers since AK is relatively close to the villas.
I don't know specifically about mini-golf, but I expect that it is availble as well. There is a $6 Valet Car parking at most resorts which allows you to park all day while you look at the shops within the resort, eat in the restaurants, (maybe) play mini-golf etc. We also used the Water Sports facility at the Contemporary Resort.![]()

No problem playing mini golf at the Disney courses take a look at http://www.orlandovillas.com/florida...sney_golf.aspx for some more info
We often eat at Disneys Boardwalk. You just tell the security guard that you're "just visiting". Think they may recently have put a 2 hour time limit on the parking but usually we're not there any longer than that. Around 9pm you can see the fireworks from Epcot at fairly close range. It's really nice having a stroll round the lake while you're waiting for a table (They have those led pagers to let you know when your tables ready.)

PS. Nice choice Lake Berkley - you'll love it!![msnsmile2]

We like to wander around Animal Kingdom Lodge - the building is amazing and you can see the animals up close. Like KevinT says, a wander around the Boardwalk is lovely - we often exit EPCOT for a bit of peace (and an ice cream!) around the lake.
You will sometimes be asked for photo ID at the security entrance to the hotels - UK driving licence is fine. They do usually give a 2 hour ticket, but I have never seen them checking the tickets.

You can go into any resort as a visitor you get a 2 hour parking limit. You are better to book if going to some of the more sought after resorts though, as they sell out quick.
