    Evening All...

I'm Injured...otherwise known as Neill or Inj, whichever you please!

I've been to Florida 3 times and about to start planning to for my fourth with my girlfriend for her 2nd time around (to Florida I mean!)

Previously stayed at Disney at Dixie Landings (now Port Orleans) for my honeymoon (I'll let you fill in the gap!) and once at a HoJo - eek! Finally, at a villa in Lake Berkley - and now I'd never stay anywhere but a villa!

Now, I've found this great resource for finding my next villa. So far, so good!

    Evening Inj,

You will find this site a great resource for all sorts (car hire is very good value) as well as plenty of invaluable info to help your planning.

    Good luck.

Indeed - it was a Howard Johnson on the 192. V.cheap and (not so) cheerful due to a delightful family next door playing up at all hours. Still, it did have an IHop very close by! Swings and roundabouts...

    Hi Inj,
Friends of our stayed at a Hojo on the 192 (the one at the bottom end) it was not very nice and they refused to stay there and ended up trawling the 192 @ 1am trying to find another room[:0]

Hi and welcome to the forum. We stayed at a HoJo in Key West which was very nice, so not all of them are bad. We had a dreadful experience at the Days Inn on I-Drive so wouldn't stay in another one, it kind of puts you off the whole chain.

Have fun with planning your next vacation.[msnsmile2]

Kissyme, I stayed at that same hotel a few years back and I found it disgusting. It wasn't bright, or particularly clean and I found it so annoying trying to get to anywhere. A travel agent assured me it would be further up the 192 and I was dismayed when I arrived.

    Hi Inj & welcome!!

Oh, I stayed at the Quality Inn nr McD's on International Dr for our first visit........ We have 3 kids, so there were 5 of us, and we requested a rollaway bed when booking. Got there, no bed. Told we would have one soon, so went for dinner. Got back, no bed. Rang again, "Yes" they sighed "You'll get one soon. " By 11pm US time, still no bed. Hubby and 3 kids all spark out on the 2 beds. Rang again. "We're very busy, you'll get one when we get the chance" Gave up and slept in various places during the night, tried to get into bed, got shoved out, tried to sleep on the end, fell off! Tried to sleep on the floor, dozed only as bloody uncomfortable! So, 6am arrives, hubby and kids bouncing, I just wanted to go to bed! At least the bed was there for that night.......... Would never stay in that type of hotel again - ever!
