    Superb picture Emma,

Great view of the family raft ride... something really worth queuing for. Its always the first thing we head for after pitching our shaded spot!!

    Hi,

I just want to back up Nostromo's comment. We went to blizzard beach in January and get slightly pink. I think the big difference with BB, even compared to other water parks, is all the white surfaces just reflecting the sun. Definite sunblock day.

I would say so, don't know about snow blindness due to the UV exposure there, nut given the extra exposure we felt we received on that day I would say that potentially it is a risk. Pleases make sure that your sunglasses block out UV to a wavelength of 400nm (often shown as UV400 or UVX on glasses). Polarising sunglasses may also help as they block out more reflected light. Won't offer any more UV protection, but should greatly reduce visible glare. Not garaunteeing that they will stay on!

Maybe a good sports band for specs will help - I am actually an optometrists and we are having these made up for our company. I have a few pre-production samples free of charge so if anyone wants one I will happily stick it in an envelope and post it to you - just DM me your address details. They are the neoprene style and we are really pleased with the result so if people can also benefit then i am happy to share.

    Best wishes,

    Euan
