I have already purchased my attraction tickets for most of the parks.
I have heard a rumour that you need to take id with you, so people at the gates know that is your ticket and it has not been stolen. Is this true???

We just got back and never had a problem, I think they know us Brits dont have photo-id as the norm and just ask you to sign your name on a blank bit of paper

Hi Nic3
Agree with Chris we have never been asked for I.D on entering the parks, just have to sign a sheet of paper and they check your signature.

The only places we have ever been asked for ID was using the second day at IOA and at PI but that was for the alcohol wristband.

We've never been asked for ID or signed any bits of paper! Maybe it just depends who's on the gate at the time.

Hi, we went in May and was never asked for sig or ID, we purchased our tickets off ebayAt a very reasonable price[:I] They were the tickets with Disney character pic on front, they had unused days on them, I think this sort of sale is no longer available on ebay or any where else, we got the tics at good value but did not know how many days were left until we actually got there[V] A risk you take I suppose. We actually had more water park days than what we were told, so we did well.

We were never asked for IDs in any of the parks, including re-entry at IoA. We left IoA just before 4pm to run across to Universal and catch the last show of Beetlejuice and rushed back. No problems. We were not even asked for IDs at PI or CW, but then we are all "obvious" adults. [msnsmile2]

We had to show ID (well, those aged 18 and over in our party) for Seaworld, because we were using our Discovery Cove confirmation letter to get us in there. That only happened the first time we went in - after that we just had to show the letter at Guest Relations and they gave us our tickets. Then when we actually went to Discovery Cove we had to show our ID again.

May be the ID thing is just to say that they CAN ask if they want to, maybe they have problems with the season ticket holders, people in the family sharing the same ticket!!
Saves them even more money!!
On multi day tickets (Universal), we was asked to sign a label that is thenstuck on the back of the ticket.
BUT that only happened once!!

I think it depends on the type of ticket. for example we have fun cards for SeaWorld and Busch gardens and have needed to produce photo id's when the fingerprint system failed to work.
If you have flex tickets you just need to sign in.
