Does anyone know of a forum or discussion groups for 'over 55 golf communities near Orlando'? Thanks.

No, I don't but most of these tend to be residential communities. The only one I know anything about is Solivita which is at Poinciana which is an Avatar community and one that we've personally looked at in the past. They have a good selection of Mediterranean style homes and lots of facilities including a golf course, gym, swimming pool, library with internet, restaurants, etc, etc. You can even do a 'taster' stay for two nights, including golf. http://www.solivita.com/2001/lifestyle.asp

There is one right behind Esprit. I think it is part of the Polo Park. Makes for quiet neightbors for us!

Polo Park East & West are both 55+ communities but they both only have 9 hole courses. Polo Park East has the best course the West one is a bit poor.

There is also 'The Villages', but I think it may be about 1 hour from the Orlando area

Polo Park is 9 holes back to back off different tees I think. The Villages is on route to Ocala. It has very good write ups. Not sure if it does golf??

Several golf courses at The Villages according to the promotional video. All free to residents as I recall. Can't wait 'till I'm 55!!
