There is a Walmart on us27, down at Haines City. Not 24hr though.
Go onto their site 'walmart.com', bottom left on the homepage is a store finder, type in zipcode (33837) and that displays nearest stores.

Gullwing,there is a new Wall-Mart due to open in October 2004. This will be on the US 27, 1.5 miles north of the I192.

The Walmart at Haines City is open 24 hours a day - thank goodness and of course from Southern Dunes is walking distance.

I think the Walmart on US192 near Mediveal Times is the nearest 24-hour store to the US27 villas at present. It has an immense selection of almost everything under the sun and is very good value.

Nostromo The Walmart just outside Southern Dunes is on the US 27 and is open 24 hours a day. We had one guest who managed to spend 3 hours and a lot of dollars in the shop. His wife said she would never let him near the place again. Who said women loved to shop!

The Haines City Walmart is our local one, we are on Westridge on H27. I remember when the Walmart there was just a small store and not a super one. You were greeted with "Welcome to your friendly Haines City Walmart" over the loud speaker.

We are always doing a midnight shop there - not so busy at that time, although the Dollar Tree store nearby isn't open!!!!!!!!!!

only 3 hours? my dad once spent all day in there, and im not kidding he just loves the place its all he ever talks about.

The one in Haines City is not 24 hrs according to the website could you confirm this Theresa/Jill? That is our nearest being 7 miles from our place on Windwood Bay. Interested to know when the big one is opening, near 4 Corners I believe and exactly how far that shall be?

CDV - The one immediately outside the gates of Southern Dunes, in Haines City is a 'super Walmart' 24 hour open 24 hours a day. The pharmacy, hairdressers etc are not 24 opening but I think that is the same with the others. We have found it very useful for over the counter medicines in the middle of the night when the children have been taken ill. However Walgreens chemist which is on the opposite side of the road are now open round the clock as well.
