    Try PCC Transportation Taxi Service
Phone number 407 935 0001. Or e-mail Adrian_guy@msn.com His prices are pretty reasonable.
This company also does Airport runs, also shopping trips and also does a full service for people who do not want to hire cars or do not want to drive every day, does runs too Clearwater, Daytona, also to all attractions. Have used them for our guests who have been very pleased with his service.

There are plenty of these and you can find a list of addesses through a Google keyword search. But if you are staying in a villa, the owners or caretakers have a few numbers listed near the phone and there are usually the most suitable for that area. For example, there was a firm called Poinciana Taxis who regularly picked up people from Orange Tree, where we stayed.

Check out who you use; remember like the UK there are regulated Taxis and Mini Cabs that are not regulated. Personnel recommendations are worth a lot. If the Taxi is not metered, always get a quote before taking the journey, otherwise the driver can charge what he likes.

PCC Transportation Service are regulated and are fully licenced, and they are quite happy to give a quote at any time, they will also forward a price list if requested.

Probably around $60 - $100, depending on which company you happen to use, the time of day, etc. Best advice is to cut down on the stuff you're taking as you probably won't use half of it!

Taxi drivers here take the *&%^$. I'm a Londoner and I've never seen such extortionate rates, well except around Piccadilly or something, but then let's be fair the traffic congestion is far worse there. I cannot believe a local would ever even consider these prices and you know what angers me? Is that everytime I've wanted to go out clubbing and drink and not drive, I call a taxi and you cannot ask them how long the taxi will be there in! Most don't even give an indication, they simply say, we will put the request out on the radio to see if someone responds and if we can't deal with your call, we'll call you back in 15-20 minutes to advise you. That would NEVER work back home!

That's the whole thing about going abroad though isn't it? Things work differently to how they do in the UK (good job too or you'd think you were still here!).

That's what makes it so interesting going to a different country. You either hate the way everything is (unusually, as you appear to do) or you take it all in as being another culture, appeciate it's foibles and chalk anything you don't like about it up to another country experience.

Let's face it, London with sun it isn't and, if you want everything to be the same as in the UK, welcome to America!

Not sure where your from, but in london thats how it works, they put a call out to all the
cabs and if your lucky one turns up. Not sure what the rates are in Orlando, but my brothers
are black cabbies and they charge a ruddy fortune.
