    Lack of great deals

    Has anybody else noticed that postings in the great deals section are very far and few between?
    I did think it could be one of two things:
    1: Orlando has always offered such good value for money so they couldn't possibly lower prices anymore or...
    2: The powers that be have spies logging on to the forum and realised that we are all totally addicted to Orlando and we will go whatever the cost and just throw in a good deal every now and then to keep us happy, a bit like giving sweets to children

    Note to self: must find more things to do with myself on a saturday afternoon. As the mobile ad says 'the devil makes light work of idle thumbs' or something like that!

    I think your first opinion is correct. Orlando has so many 'Great deals' coming out of its ears that for Brits, used to thr rather expensive UK prices, they all seem like good deals. There are so many discounts, buy-one-take-one-frees etc that one never has time (or luggage space) to take advantage of all of it.

    Talking of great deals, one of my favourite breakfasts is the Dennys "Original Grand slam" - 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 pancakes and maple syrup. All for the princely sum of US$3.29 plus tax and tip. We arrived back home this morning and stopped in at a Little Chef. They are now doing the exact same breakfast and calling it the "American" and the cost is.... wait for it... GB£6.59

    At the current exchange rate I could buy 3.6 Denny breakfasts for 1 Little Chef breakfast!!!! That's just one of the many superb deals on offer in Central Florida.

    Here is one we used this May for win win when the sale was on;
    Burdine-Macy's Tax free passport:

    Overseas visitors can get a passport that gives them 11% extra off items in Burdine-Macy's department stores (not cosmetics or perfume), and is valid on sale or reduced items. We got ours from the customer service desk but for more info try calling in the UK 020 7729 8147 or http://www.macys.com/index.ognc?DivisionID=3&bhcp=1

    Thought you must have been away Carla as I noticed your absence of postings recently, hope you had a great trip. You just can't beat Denny's for breakfasts can you?[msnsmile2]
    P.S Are you looking forward to the new King Arthur Movie[msnwink]

    Hi Liz

    We had a wonderful trip thanks. Only got my Denny's breakfast twice though!!! Apparently the movie has not had rave reviews, but I'll see it anyway.

    It would be nice if now and again, Airline company's will giveaway a bargain ticket like they're offering going to European countries.
