    Check in times

Just received our flight tickets. Going Gatwick to Tampa with BA on August 4. The advised check in time is 4 hours before take off. Is this because of the baggage handlers strike? or is this now standard?

I last flew with BA in April and it was only two hours listed on the tickets then although I thought three hours was the norm. This time flying with Mytravel and they say three so 4 really does sound over the top.

To be honest im not sure, only fly business in England, but I would have thought it might
    be the same

Just mailed a mate, he seems to think its only economy, but wasnt
100 percent sure as a lot of changes have been put in place

I can confirm that this is the standard for BA. About the only consolation is that all BA flights go from the north terminal where the shops and facilities are much better than the south.

Ours was 3 hours with AA from Manchester in May but we always get there earlier anyway.
