New Year’s Eve has a wild street party, often with a live pop concert being taped for later television broadcast - keep waving at the camera!
Park doesn't close until 1am and there is a huge fireworks display at midnight.
Snow falls on New York Street during the Blues Brothers show. Last year on New Years Eve, there were two live pop concerts, one in New York, one at the top end of the lagoon. There was also a disco attended by lookalikes of celebrities ( Madonna etc), also stiltwalkers who managed to dance on stilts. Hats and blowers were distributed from several points on the park. There was a fantastic firework display at midnight. Your only problem is getting out of the multi storey car park at 12.10. Stay as late as you can.

Blues Bros at Christmas sing christmas pop songs and wear santas - plus the snow!
We were there for millenium party - finished at 3.00am. We were in the irish bar at 7.00pm (by chance) when suddenly all the brits did a countdown and sang auld lang syne. (Midnight at home!) Much to the bemusement of the americans!
Party hats and poppers etc, wonderful firework displays - we stood between the 2 parks so we could watch it all - best one I ever seen, still have the memory of fireworks with the palm trees silhouetted against them.
