great car, i had a white 2000E. thought i was the bee's knee's in it . wasnt the left hooker a taunus?

Yes it was. The Taunus was made in Germany. Very similar, but with some subtle differences.
Some markets had both the Cortina and the Taunus in the same showroom. Holland for example. The dealers had to sell both cars. Both LHD.

Which one had the V6, my friend had one. I had a Corsair..

The last Mk V Cortina had a V6. Also the Taunus came with a V4 and a V6. German Capris also had V4s and larger V6s.

In Oz the Cortina had a choice of a 3.3 straight 6 or a 4.2 straight six! Wish I could get my hands on one of those!
