Villa or suite for non drivers

Hi everyone,[msnsmile],although i've never posted on these boards before i've been lurking[msnwink]for months!Just got back from a fantastic trip to orlando last friday-staying at the quality inn international. However as a parent of three children 11,7 and five,i feel next year we will need more space.Iknow how to manipulate the lynx system and mostly always travel off the tourist trail.I was wondering if anyone knew of villas or apartments that could be reccomended for a non-driver.
    Thanks HT

Maybe you need to look for a resort...with lots of things to do on site......a townhouse or villa.....I saw one with a bus to Disney somewhere......maybe you could try a search here in the villas for rent at the top of the page..........

I think Wydham Palms run a shuttle to Disney and a few other places.
The kid suites at the Holiday Inn on Hotel Plaza Boulevard may be worth looking at. There are also a few villa communities within practical walking distance of the 192 if you are a group of adults but probably not with a 5 year old.
If you choose a communnity which is closest to the area you will use most, then you may find that the taxi fares would not be too bad. If I were you I would be looking at a condo or townhome on either Emerld Island or Wyndham Palms/Hills.

    Hi HT,
Lake Berkley (and probably some of the other resort sites) have a relatively new service shuttle bus to the theme parks. We can ring a phone no. from our townhouse and a shuttle bus collects us and brings us back later. We haven't used the service yet as we have just learned of its existence recently but I think the cost is very reasonable and probably works out at the same or less than you would pay for parking the car at Disney / Seaworld / Universal.

Just checked the lynx website and it seems like the bus route has been extended west of Disney.

I had guests stay for 3 weeks in my villa on Lindfields (West of Disney) who opted to use the bus rather than a car and they had to walk to the Howard Johnson for a bus-now you can go to the Four Corners Publix for one.

They were quite happy doing that-although if you can drive I think having a car is part of the fun!

A new shuttle service has recently started. I can give you the details if the Administrators or Moderators give me the ok. Otherwise I will DM you.

I agree, having a car is not essential especially if you have a villa with a Private pool.
But kids get bored easy and a car is the best and quickest way to get about.

Plus it will mean you can go get all your shopping in in one go if you are in a villa.

We enjoy the driving part, it means you can explore the surrounding areas
