car hire- daily customer facility charge

just got our car hire voucher form world wide cars.
does any one know what 'a daily customer facility charge may be payable by the client' mean.[?][:I]

Yes - it's a new thing that has been introduced at certain US airports to "help pay for the extra security required post 911". As far as I know the only Florida airports affected are Miami and Ft Myers where it's an extra $3.50 or so per day.

I asked the Dollar representative about it at MCO a few weeks ago and he told me they had it built into their prices at Orlando for some time now (including Sanford).

Sounds like they have latched on to our GB's stealth tax; like we all pay if we park at our airports + other stuff. Dave.
