    Rolling Hills

Have booked a villa in the rollings Hills area in September. The accommodation is allocated on arrival, is that usual practice. Is it a nice area and how far is shops, restaurants etc.
Also has anyone heard of [name edited].
    Thanks in advance

    Hi EllieG12

    Welcome to the forum!

Yes, I have heard of the name you mentioned but it's been edited out because it would be advertising a competitor for Florida home rental.

Sadly, as you've booked through an agent, then the usual situation is that you won't know exactly which home you're getting until you arrive. But, if you had booked through a home owner on this site, you would know all the info about the individual home before you booked.

Like most home communities there are fairly local shops and restaurants to the area (so you won't starve!) as well as it being close to Disney.

Have a great time in Florida!

Hi Ellie, welcome to the forum. We have a villa in Rolling Hills so I can reassure you it is very near the local shops. It is only 1 miles to the Formosa Gardens Shopping Plaza which has a supermarket (Goodings). It has a good deli section but is quite pricey. so we always nip 5 minutes up the 192 (turning left at the dragons coming from RH) to the Publix at Orange Lakes. This is open until 11.00pm at night.

The FGS Plaza has loads of restaurants; Outback, TGIF, Carrabbas, Giordanos, Red Lobster (strictly speaking opposite the plaza, Taco Bells and a Dairy Queen.

You are literally only a couple of minutes from Disney, and you pick up the Osceola Parkway which routes you through to Sea World and Universal as well.

If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask!

WE stayed on Indian Creek - just across the road from Rolling Hills and we found it ver convient for everything although as Fiona says I would go to the Publix for food shopping.
