Taxi rates

I know taxis have been covered in other threads but has anyone used a reliable taxi firm in Kissimmee lately? If so, how much were you charged? I'd like to go from mile marker 5 down to Old Town one night and Downtown Disney another. Does anyone have any idea of prices?

I think the problem with no-one answering is that not many people use taxis around that area Bridget. The fare to Old Town can't be too much I wouldn't have thought but Downtown Disney is going to be more expensive. Fares also depend on how many there are of you and what time of day/night you're going.

We've used Yellow cabs, they're the ones that are always parked up at the theme parks, can't help with prices as we were going from Calabay Parc to a Disney hotel, however I do remember thinking how reasonable it was compared to London.

We were in a car accident two years ago and it cost us $10 from Heart of Florida hospital to our home in Royal Palms, approx 5 min drive so we have never used them since.

$10 is approx £5.71 so this is probably a minimum charge.
