Miami to Orlando

What is the collective wisdom on the best route from Miami to Kissimmee. There is apparently a huge mega mall somewhere north of Miami, would possible stop off there, otherwise would like the most direct route? We arrive into Miami on Wednesday and will be driving up.

Hi Drew

The mall you are thinking of is Sawgrass mall in Fort Lauderdale, which can be on the way to Orlando depending on the route you take. We were at this mall 5 years ago and it was well worth visiting. If you want to go straight to Orlando the most direct route is probably via I-95 and the Florida Turnpike. There are several sites which will give you step by step directions

[online map service] is great. We use it when travelling all over the place......great Mall other side of town........ yellow pages out........adddress got......... [online map service] launched and hey presto we are on our way!

Hi Drew,
We made the trip from Orlando to Miami straight down the H27 this Easter! We were heading for Fort Lauderdale(not our cup of Tea), and of course went to Sawgrass! The trip was fab, and easy driving, bit of a highlight actually! The mall was OK. Bit upmarket(not a real bargain Haven) certainly wouldn't rate as a 'MUST SEE', but if you are that way, worth a visit!Would recommend the H27 though, straight down, some REAL Florida on the way too!
