    A stupid question

I've received my flight tickets for next weekend (yay!) and this is probably a really really stupid question [:I] but what does it mean when it says I have to reconfirm them 72 hours before the flight? It's probably very obvious but I'm in fully-fledged panic mode (and my house resembles a laundrette - not that that's relevant to the question). No sniggering at the back please

It's not a silly question Elaine! It just means that you should ring up the airline in the USA 72 hours before your return flight just to confirm that a) the flight is still the same time as on your ticket and b) that you're still intending to travel on it.

If you ask at the check-in desk when you go, they usually tell you that it's not necessary but it doesn't hurt to do it anyway.

You should find a free telephone number in with your flight tickets that you ring - it should start with either 1-800, 800, 888 or something like that.

Have a great time and, if you're staying in a villa, remember to do your washing before you come back home to avoid the 'laundry' look!

This is not a stupid question Elaine. It's only stupid when you worry about something but don't do anything about it.
Like Blott says it's fairly standard practice when travelling on a scheduled flight, but it's not the end of the world if you forget to do it.
    Have a great trip.

    Hi

If I were you I would ring up to order your son his meal as I have heard that they only carry the booked amount of childs meals.

I will be calling to confirm my childrens meals just to make sure.

I would order the childs meal before you go, we do that all the time. Airlines only carry the amount
    that have been pre-ordered.

As for the 72 hours thingy [:I] we have never bothered ourselves, but should do
