I like the red smarties Chris, what are you meant to do , pick all those out or do they not put them in the packs? I know the blue ones were being found to cause lots of aggressive behaviour in susceptible children when they first came out, but they are still in the packs so it cant have been too serious.
Chrisj - common sense? I'm not sure some of the judges in the US have any when you read about some of the ludicrous lawsuits which have been successful.

I was told about the red smarties by a guy who owns a Brit shop in the USA.....and how much trouble he has getting the packs into the USA...
I find orange smarties much more tasty.
better than m and ms. They have no taste at all.
Product labelling is a constant source of amusement.
We bought a pack of peanuts in Publix and noticed in small print at the bottom it read :
Warning - May contain nuts !
Go figure !

I dont think its only the red smarties itself but the red die they use to color them. Cant remember the exact number of a certain die that is used in many candies that cause cancer!! Yes, I agree in the US they sue for everything. People want to start suing Mcdonalds cause they cause the customers to become obese, sue the makers of cookies and cereals cause they caused their children to become obese..its riduculous!!

I can't believe they worry about red smarties in the USA - have you seen some of the luminous cakes they sell in Publix? I dread to think what they would do to my children - they would bounce off the walls and knock your villas down!

I couldn't believe it the first time we went into the cafe at Animal Kingdom and they were selling rainbow bread for the children, which consisted of a slice of bread with 5 swirls of colouring (red, blue, yellow , orange and green making a pattern on it.

Our dentist actually told us recently that there's not enough flouride in the water any more so its fine to swallow it.
