    Cinema

Not strictly nightlife as you can go any time-but a good idea for the winter or autumn when it's a bit chilly on a night.

We tried the one at Downtown Disney-with around 20 screens. They don't take your eyes out -at around $8 a seat. American audiences can be a lot noisier than British ones-but that just adds to the fun. Bridget Jones was a hoot with people clapping and stamping their feet at various places in the film!

Celebration also has a 2 screen cinema and not a lot of people might know this but it was open on xmas day-which was great as it rained-so we whiled away a few hours watching Lord of The Rings.

There are a number of cheap cinemas where they show films which have been released for a few weeks or even months in the US but are often still new releases in the UK as we are so far behind. They charge as little as $2 some nights. They are usually in malls and shopping plazas. If they are still there, there is one in the shopping plaza next to k-Mart at Winter Park and one at the bottom end of Orange Blossom Trail ( near Gatorland).

We use the cinema at Universal's Citywalk. Parking is free after 6.00pm and you can get a tciket for (I think) $17 that gives you supper at Motown Cafe, Jimmy Buffets - to name 2, as well as your entrance. Supper choice is a bit basic, burgers etc. but is a saving.

Cinema is spotlessly clean (unlike the one at Downtown when we went) and the staff are polite and very friendly.

Because there are so many screens you can usually find something you like at almost any time of the day.

Cinemark at Festival Bay 20 and Pointe Orlando both have excellent multiscreen Cinemas with great reclining seats.
