Last time we visited Florida, Rhino Rally was not open. We will be there in a couple of weeks and hope to experience the ride. Has anyone else been on the ride - what exactly is it?

I've been on the rhino rally twice, the wait for it was horrendous (mid September).
What it is is a large 4 wheel drive vehicle that seats about 17 people and it takes you around a track where you get to see different animals, including 2 rhionos. The first time we went the rhinos were so close to the vehicle that I could literally have stuck out my hand and poked them in the eye. Needless to say I did no such thing, I did however move over in my seat almost onto my husband's lap.
There is a sort of mishap adventure part to it but I won't tell you what it is or it will spoil the ride. Worth going on once.

I hope you don't get shaken about too much! I have a nervous disposition (LOL!)
Really though-is it is as good or better than than the safari ride at Animal Kingdom

I haven't been to Animal Kingdon yet so I can't comment on whether it's better or worse. If the queues weren't so long the ride maybe worth going on more than once. Oh, and you get wet!!

Rhino Rally is excellent. Its well worth the queue. although the first time I went on it I might not have agreed (over 1 hr in middle of august!). Cant say too much dont want to give the game away, butvery clever, and if you like the safari at AK you'll love it!! Cant compare them though, bit of a different genre! You'll get what I mean once you've been on!!!<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
