There's paintballing...
Calling into one of the many gunstores will probably give you the info although I don't know about rocket grenade launcher, etc! I think you might be pushing it a bit...

we do still have that privilede, I belong to 2 gun clubs, and yes the rules are a lot stricter
etc, locked gun cases licence, checks etc but I still go shooting twice a week

I never really fancied paintballing. I just wanna shoot things, or blow them up. Blow up a car from a mile away - that sounds like fun!
Maybe that's my million dollar idea. 'War on Terror' theme park in Orlando. Nuke pretend enemies. Blow up your friends and family. "Beat up Blair" ride.. "Bush Bashing" coaster..
Could be very popular. Remember that you heard it here first! [msnsmile]
Thanks Blott

Hubbie always goes to a shooting range when we're in the US and visited a couple while we were in Florida. One was Rieg's Gun Shop on South Orange Blossom Trail and the other was opposite the Correctional Facility![msnscared]
Had a very interesting and frank discussion with the Assistant there about Gun Law in the US and our UK restrictions. We agreed to disagree but it was very enlightening. Like the fact that a private seller can sell a hand-gun to anyone he chooses without making any background checks. In fact, if he even asks the question "are you a criminal?" he is liable to be sued even when the buyer will obviously lie. Just has to make sure he has a full receipt for cash and weapon exchange, even in it's not worth the paper it's written on. So much for licensing....Madness![}]
Anyway, getting off the soapbox, a variety of handguns for hire were on offer for use on their indoor gun ranges and even some semi-automatic (? I'm not into guns but ones like Soldiers carry, Bushranger?, Bushwhacker?, something like that)[)] Hubbie had great fun as usual and the staff at both facilities were helpful and informative.
Sorry didn't see any rocket launchers or I'm sure Hubbie would have been firing one![msnwink]

Angua,
Thats exactly what i do each time i go over, straight to a range and blast away for an hour or two, its great for relieving tension. Over years i`ve shot many diferent guns from james bonds walther to dirty harry`s 44 magnum.
This last time in March went to this place on oakridge and got to use a fully automatic 9mm Uzi, if there are any gun nuts out there, you got to try it. (Just off OBT less than a mile down oakridge)
Chris J
Dont exactly know what you mean, i`m a shotgun owner but i was under the impression handguns are illegal since hungerford, i know you can still shoot rifles but not handguns!!!!!
I would recommend to any readers that you try it on a range in the US its fun to just blast away with something you cant get to do in the UK, you never know you may like it.

Neil
Sorry I meant that if you want to blow things up etc, the TA do all that sort of thing
Chrisj
Neil/Angua,
That's brilliant information - sounds like great fun.
Was it expensive? Some idea of price would be helpful, and were young kids allowed in the building/area (as spectators - not targets! [msnwink] )
Did the price change to use different guns?
Was training provided?
Did you have to prove yourself before going up in calibre etc..
Also - sorry to be thick - where is OBT?
Many thanks for the info - I think this will go on 'Colins' list!
Colin
PS Chris - don't fancy TA - I'm too old plus all that marching and training. Just wanna shoot stuff .... [}]
Colin,
I'll try and hunt out the information for you. It's in a box somewhere, I keep EVERYTHING about our holidays!!!
