    Prom night

My daughter has just found out that she will be missing her prom night which was to be held at the Grand Hotel in Brighton.
She was so looking foward to wearing a posh frock and doing all the prom night stuff.
Does anybody know any restaurants or dinner evenings where we can all dress up and do the prom thing in Orlando
I was looking at Medievil nights or Arabian Nights Somewhere a bit fancy but not to expensive or over the top (and yes I will tip the server)

    Oh dear, what a shame!

The 'prom' type dressing up venues tend to have a price tag to match unfortunately. These are normally located in large hotels but there are few if any 'dinner dance' type of entertainments in the area. I'll have a search later and see if I can come up with any suggestions for you.

I'm not sure that dressing up 'posh' wouldn't look a bit out of place at Arabian Nights and Medieval Times to be honest but obviously the choice is yours.

I don't think anyone does a better job of "Making you feel special"
than Disney and I would be inclined to suggest a PS at a Resort. Tell them that its a special occassion and remind them again when you get there.
Go to the Gala dinner perhaps at The Grand Floridian. There are characters including Prince Charming and if you talk to the servers and characters they will make a fuss of your daughter. The surroundings are so nice you will feel okay to dress up even if others are in park gear.
Its a buffet meal at 1900 Park Fayre within the hotel.
It costs $23.99 each adult. There will be live music in the atrium nearby. If the pianist is at the grand piano I am sure he would play a request for your daughter.
Sorry if your nor Disney fans, this suggestion will be way off the mark.

You mean there are people who are not Disney fans???? I'm gobsmacked!
That could ruin all my illusions. I've already had to go for one lie down today![8](Don't know why I used the eightball - but nobody else does and it seemed lonely!

I'm sure she must be really disappointed. We spent our holiday in April going round all the shops to find my daughters dress for her prom (ok the school called it a summer ball but the girls have decided otherwise), and I know how disappointed she would be to miss it. She really felt like one of the locals as it was April and they were all looking for their dresses for May.

I dont think your daughter would feel right at Arabian nights to be honest, knowing how self conscious they are at that age.

As someone suggested there might be somewhere in Disney.

You could try a search on google under formal dinners or something like that (course it means all the family will have to dress up as well. If not why not arrange a special meal or nightclub trip in the UK with her friends (if they are all dressed up - if shes anything like my daughter, she wont mind if they arent dressed the same as everyone else).
