This was discussed yesterday on the following thread:
http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums...TOPIC_ID=11342
I specifically asked the Dollar staff about it when we arrived at MCO last week and they said it was not charged at Orlando as it has already been built into the prices and been charged for some time. So far, I have heard of it being charged at Miami, Las Vegas and Ft Myers (I believe).
no
this isn't a car tax, its got something to do with upgrading airports and it starts in sept??????

It's the one I mentioned in the thread. The excuse they have is the usual 911 one and using the money to upgrade security at airports.
i'm afraid were going to have to wait on this
it sounded to me like it was to do with just general upgrade of airport buildings, and not security or car tax
i dont know the title of the travel portion on news 24
have looked on their website for it, even the a-z
like for the computer nerds it would be click online!!
