kayaking in florida

Im interested in trying out some kayaking when I go to the gulf coast. Has anyone on here ever tried it, either on their own or with an organised tour. If so, what was it like, wereabouts, etc? also was in inland in the coastal rivers or in the gulf?

I know someone who can help you with this. There is an English guy named Craig who works at Dave's Ski School of Buena Vista Watersports. He seemed to know everything about all kinds of watersports in Florida and I recall him mentioning something specifically about Kayaking. Find their phone number on the web and give Craig a call.
