travelling late sept - early oct

hi there all - new to the board to be gentle.
have been to florida many moans ago with some mates in july but am now looking to go last week in september for two weeks. what can I expect in terms of the weather (staying on the gulf coast by the way - not orlando). will i have to expect rain every day or not.
also with regards to the flights I know i can expect to pay about £500 per person with ba or virgin, but also seem to be seeing alot of package deals offered on teletext etc, were you can get a flight and accomadation (which i wouldnt use) for about £330 each, has anyone gone down that route on here?

The weather will be very good at the time of the year. October is probably the best month to go to Orlando - moderate crowds, not too hot but lots of sunshine and low risk of rain.

    Hi Kenilworth,
Welcome to the forums, We have been 3 times in and around Sept/Oct and have always found it very nice, Crowds not to vast weather good (although changable)and flights not to expensive. The only drawback I think is that the parks close a little earlier, but to be honest we have never mangaged to stay until the end anyway [8D]

I May be wrong but I think you should get flights for a lot less than £500 each I have just been quoted £399+65 tax for BA to Orlando on the 25th of august. Have you contacted Charter Travel? you will find the link on this site.

we went out last year about the same time end of august. not sure of exact dates, but it comes off the high-high season then.

we went virgin. from what i worked out(might be wrong). virgin dont like to be seen to discount, but do sell their seats to brokers by the bucket load up to a year in advance.
we hit lucky last year .where other tele text companies were telling us the flight was sold out. i actually only paid for one flight and got three free!!(only because the lads passed me their vouchers we got for a mishap at the ny marahton the prev, nov)

you really just have to do your homework, like everything. ring around, use the link from this site and see whats best at the time you need or want to book

we got a cheap my travel deal this may , but declined their car and got one from here - uscarhire, so its really a case of pleasing yourself/price these days

enjoy the holiday build up, shopping, dieting etc

oh and get your 10 day world disney pass off this web cos they dont do it out there, and it saves a fortune allowing you to hop about everyday - like a frog being chased by a lawnmower!!

    or something like that!!

Try looking at www.expedia.co.uk they can give you lots of flight options charter and schedule. Or go direct to www.britishairways.com or www.virginatlantic.com That will keep you busy.

We have been a few times in September usually quite nice and the numbers are declining as the children have to return to school.

    Have fun!
