Virginia is a great place for history, as is Massachussetts. Much more scenic, too.

I have been to Vermont and agree that it is one of the most beautiful states, Teresa. It think one of the most spectacular things that the Northeastern states has to offer (and especially the New England area) is the Fall foliage. Living in this area of the country, I think we tend to take this for granted and yet, people come from miles away to see it.

It is very pretty in the Fall.....until Fall is over and you have to spend weeks on end clearing up leaves.....[msncry][msncry]

We have had nothing but rain this spring......so much so I have a green front lawn...with grass not weeds....[msnsmile2]

I still have some raking to finish.......I moan about it.... but unlike a lot of new people to the Cape....I want to keep my garden a true Cape one......tall pines.....old trees.....etc.....so many new people cut down the trees so they don't have to rake.........and its like have a scar in the neighbourhood......
