I was speaking to somebody who works at vigin the other day, they said that the new 340 wasnt going to arrive until 2006 at the earliest.

john posted a while ago that the 747-200's were to be replaced at Man for the 747-400's later this year.

I'd heard that it would be replaced by Feb 2005, with Honey Pie being re-used on a new route.

    Hi Chris,

Typical when the route first stared it was a nice shiny new Airbus, pour old Honey Pie is ready to retire and Island Lady is not far behind, mind you Honey Pie now has a UK reg!

    Hiya

I think Virgin have got some problems with the Gatwick 747's at the moment, They are using
a couple of LHR 747's for the MCO Flights.

Also their new plane has been delayed for a few years, so who knows what when where etc

Also found out they have some mothballed planes, so if they retire/sell off Honey Pie or Island Lady they might just replace them
    with the mothballed ones [:0][:0]

They are busy upgrading all their LHR fleet first, then onto LGW so
spose MAN will be the last to get a look in
