Yep, it's true the mozzies don't like the smell of b vitamins - hence marmite or any yeast extract. If you can't stand the taste, take a B1 or multi B vit - available at most health food stores or supermarkets these days.
Take one a day for about a week before you go and then continue while you are there.

Smearing yourself in marmite will also give you a lovely brown fake tan. [msnsmile2]

We were also told that taking garlic tablets/capsules deters insects as they don't like the smell your skin gives off. Not sure how true it is, but we take them every day anyway and rarely get bitten on holiday.

We're always having trouble with Vampires down our way.

You can't leave the house some nights without dousing yourself in holy water and packing a couple of stakes in your jacket pocket !

We have heard the B1 theory before, Sarah and her mum always get bitten loads by mossies whilst in Florida. They have tried everything, except the B1 and so will give this a go next time. Thought the "Bounce" in the bra was different (maybe I should reword that) but who discovered it!!!

In the good old days (i.e our honeymoon in Jamaica) we counted 96 bites on Sue's body after the first day. [msncry]

    I remained biteless. [msnsmile2]

Thankfully she's become a lot less appetising to the little blighters since we started with the garlic.
