Sharks Deep diving experience at Seaworld

We are staying at a private villa (booked from this site) for the first two weeks in August. Two of us are certified divers and would love to do this close encounter with sharks.

Has anyone else done this and can anyone advise me how to book tickets in advance or is it first come first served on arrival at Seaworld?

    Morning, Hadrian.

Here's the link to Seaworld giving info on the Shark Deep Dive and providing a link where you can buy tickets online. http://www.seaworld.com/seaworld/fla...deep_dive.aspx The special tours do sell out rather fast so it's a safer bet to book either online or by phone. It looks superb and I hope you come back with a trip report for us!!

I'm sure that if one of the Forum Members has first-hand info, they will reply to you soon but I do know that Tinkerbell enjoyed something similar at the Living Seas Aquarium at Epcot (http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums...?topic_id=7320)

    Hi Sarah
Do you need a scuba cert if you are just using the snorkel ?
It doesn`t seem clear on the web site......or maybe I`m just dull.

Hi all, yes I did the Epcot seas Aqua Tour, which to be honest pleasantly surprised me! It was surface diving, which means you basically float just under the surface, but have oxygen supplied via the same gear as per Scuba diving. I found this absolutely brilliant and great value for money at 100 USD. This money went to the Disney Wildlife Fund too so all in a good cause! We even got free entry into the park afterwards [msnembarrased] !

I agree with Hadrian, you only need a scuba certificate for the deep diving so all abilities are catered for. That's if you can snorkle properly! I have real issues with breathing naturally and am always trying to blow that last little bit of water out of the tube.

    .... and I think you'll find it's DERRR-DUM...... DERRR-DUM.... DER-DUM DUM-DUM DER-DUM..... diddle-dee dee dee dee-dum ([msnwink]hee, hee)

Doesn't that music still send shivers up your spine, even after all these years!!
