For those wondering what the fuss is about, here are a couple of pics from 6th June (my 35th Birthday) at the sunset celebration in Mallory Square.

Have been thinking about visiting the Keys this August but wasn't sure how long to go for & where to stay. How many days did you go for & where did you stay?

    Bernie,

We tend to go for a two night stay every couple of years and this time stayed at the Marriott Courtyard, which I can thoroughly recommend. Its not the most expensive, but its not the cheapest either and the rooms are very good.

In the past, we've stayed at the Travelodge (cheap) and the Howard Johnston (similar to Courtyard).

    Epic,

That ship is the Disney Cruise liner. We've never seen it in the flesh before. Its VERY impressive. The horn even sounds to the tune of "When you wish upon a star" !!

The Ocean Key Hotel is right in the heart of Mallory Square. Very colonial, fabulous suites, valet parking, very very nice You can see the cruise ships from the pool area and you can watch the sunset from the resturant on the deck. Bliss!!

Thanks for the photos, we spent 4 days there and went to Mallory Square each evening, but unfortunatly it was cloudy, but the party was still good with all the street entertainers

The Disney ship looks amazing. We were going to try it for our honeymoon, but changed our minds.

Its looks fantastic, and the keys obviously.

Hope you had an amazing time.
