Contact Lenses

Does anybody know if it is cheaper to buy contact lenses in the States or here in the UK. Dont mind ordering online and get them sent to the house in either country. Thanks

Don't know about the lense price but remember to add the import duty, we got stunk from dhl when we ordered online the shipping agent bills the customs charge direct to you.

Well, glasses are certainly cheaper in Wal-Mart optical store than in the UK and you get the added benefit of being able to take them into Asda should anything go wrong with them.

I can certainly vouch for Walmart's optical store (well the one on 192 by Medieval Times).

A couple of years ago, my mother-in-law forgot her specs and decided to by a pair while we were out there.

We got someone to send her prescription to the optician's personal e-mail address, and he had the glasses made up and ready to go within 24hrs. She prefers them to her original pair and they cost half the price !
