    Cameron,

How much time do you have between planes at Chicago?

I was always advised when getting indirect flights to stick to one airline. Do British Midland and United have an 'agreement'? If not then United are not obliged to wait for you if your British Midland flight is late, sorry to be party pooper but you may want to ring them.

We used Alamo a couple of weeks ago. We did fly into Orlando MCO late and there were no queues. [/quote]

We arrived at 5 pm. and alamo was worse than dollar.

Was this the 417? Coming from kissimmee area on the 417, take the first exit for the airport.

British Midland and United do have a partnership. We used them when we flew to Washington DC a couple of years ago. BD Edinburgh to Manchester and then United to Washington albeit on a British Midland plane.

Was a great flight too, got a free upgrade to premium economy on the way back.

Most personnel at the car hire desks will try to sell you extra personal insurance because they are on a commission for selling it. The Gold option covers you for all you need if you have taken out travel insurance, which everyone should, before leaving the UK. We advise our guests to just say that they are covered.
You will get a competitive quote from this site and a choice of either Dollar or Alamo. It is a matter of personal preference which you choose. I like Alamo because I can choose from a selection and find no problem with this method because the car grades are clearly marked in their lines.

Were flying into Orkando May 9th with Virgin and have got car hire through Avis. Are Avis good and has anybody hired a Chevrolet Venture(minivan) and how good are they as we are used to the Voyagers(Dodge Caravan).

The Chevy Venture is an MPV like the Voyager range and is also a seven seater but is not quite as large. You can check it out in more detail on the Chevrolet web site. ( I used to drive the short lived UK version from Vauxhall)
