Designer Gear, compare Armani Jeans from Armani Exchange at the Pointe on I-Drive for $43 + tax against Armani Jeans from Selfridges in London for £88.

    No comparison is there?

I think he probably just went in the wrong shops. I'll make a note of any that are posted here for his next visit. To be honest I'm going to need it myself I haven't been there for a while.

The U.S is definatly cheaper especially designer gear, electrical goods and cars, in march we bought 2 pairs of Sketcher trainers for $40, about 1/3 of the cost of one pair in the uk, all my wifes designer gear has been bought in the states over the last few years and she refuses to buy over here because of the costs.
I really love our shopping days [msncry]and watch the credit card go into overdrive !!

I did get some trainers from Walmart last year, seem to remember them being around $17 and they
still look great. DVD's are cheaper

Re: designer stuff. We were disappointed with the Premium Outlet Mall but the Hugo boss shop there was the exception - quite outstanding. Shirts, trousers at £30. Can't offer direct comparisons because I would rarely even walk in a Hugo Boss store back here!

You normally relate £ to $, but let me think what few things are cheaper in the US than the UK.

    Eating out
    Petrol
    Trainers
    All forms of clothing
    Electrical goods
    CD's, DVD's & Video's
    Round of Golf with cart
    Ten Pin Bowling
    Golf clubs and gear
    All household items
    DIY stuff and tools

I have given now becuase there are so few things cheaper.
