People in garages

Hmmm this may seem a silly thread, but we have just returned and noticed quite alot of people with a laid table and chairs in their garage. They seemed to spend alot of their time there!
We wondered if perhaps thay had no airconditioning so it was cooler there, or if the inlaws were staying!, or if they normally rent out there house and were spending time there because all their posessions were stored there.

It's normally hotter than hell in a garage... Perhaps they can't afford to have the air con switched on?

sounds like hes been near americans they normally sit on the front or in the garage maybe as george says listen to garage music..

thats the reason the locals dont have pool homes...

but they are also have a fridge there so ask them nicely and they could supply a beer or two.....

A few of my neigbours sit in their garages too......they live in FL in the winter.....

Before we were owners we stayed on Lindfields and a couple opposite spent all day and evening in deckchairs in their garage; this was August! There was also a dead dog layibg in the road for over a week,traumatised my daughter. Heather

Now after reading all the replys we are going to sound really odd. We own on Lindields but are from the UK when we bought a year ago we had to buy a new settee so we pu the old one in the garage and we like nothing more than having a coffee with the garage door open sitting on the old settee and watching the world go by.
